It’s actually 1.81 gb and that feels like a rip off they should up the storage so the recipient can get an accurate amount of storage not have 19 gbs of space taken up by BS

Wanted to add some external storage to my PS5. Works really well and seamlessly, the reviews are true: apps here load almost as fast as the internal PS5 SSD. A higher speed SSD like the T7 isn’t necessary.

I only wish I could afford to buy a pile of these. Ive lost a lot of files in the last couple of years, due to hard drives unexpectedly failing, including one that died within about three months...sitting on a desk, not moving, not being touched, not having anything remotely like extreme temperature or humidity. Im not especially concerned with whether its as fast as advertised--its much faster than any hard drive. Whats important to me, is long-term durability. The hard drives that have failed me, failed, I believe, due to mechanical breakdown. Thats not an issue with an SSD...right? The only hard drives that have never died on me, are my pocket hard drives...theyve all taken serious abuse--being dropped, and plugged in, many, many times. My oldest pocket drive is well over ten years old--it has a mini USB port--and has taken much more abuse, due to having only a vinyl-covered cardboard carrying sleeve to protect it. But how much longer can they last?

plugged it into my computer, did the samsung setup, and got into transferring items. the storage kept disconnecting at a whim and all of a sudden, just stopped working. ejected it, plugged it back in, and my computer stated acting like some 1990 artifact, taking for ever to open apps and even the eject menu. I/O and perimeter problems started showing up and just isn’t worth the hassle. keep scrolling for something else, this isn’t it

I tried everything including reinstalling software. The message on the screeen was DEVICE NOT CONNECTED. It was!

I purchased 2 of the 2 tb external and a 2 tb 860 pro internal and registered them with Samsung with no issues not sure why some people are saying they are fakes. Super fast and small size for a lot of data. The enternal drive really enhanced the performance of my older MacBook Pro
