> 3 dayThe stick has a short throw, which combined with a responsive clickiness provides a great and competitive arcade feel and experience. The buttons take some getting used to, as the switches used within are more similar in actuation force and throw to a linear keyboard keyswitch than the microswitch and spring setups commonly used to make arcade buttons. They are different, and can be judged on preference, not good or bad. The biggest issue is the scratches that came on the buttons. They look used and were purchased as new.

> 3 dayGreat quality all around but the posting for this item makes it seem like it comes with the female to female harness you need for the mayflash f500 but in order to use the harness provided youd have to sauder the other end into the pcb

> 3 dayMy problem here is not with the product, the buttons and joystick work fine. The problem is the ridiculous way they crammed the joystick and buttons in one tiny little box with absolutely no protection from friction during shipping, etc. Six of the eight button faces were damaged and scratched from being jammed into this tiny little box. Not a good look at all....if I buy Sanwa parts in the future, I’ll be sure to order the pieces separately.

> 3 daySanwa make the best that money can buy, and these are the top of the line. An absolute joy to use, to work with and to look at. Consider the 8-way octagonal plate if you are a fighting game fan. The stock 8way square plate is nice too, but the octagon is even better.

> 3 dayIf you are building or modifying a stick, you cant do better than Sanwa for value and classic feel. I wont recommend japanese over korean parts, or vice versa, but japanese parts feel clickier and more standardized in a way. Look elsewhere if you are looking for the feel of korean machines.

Greater than one weekFor a hobby, I was gutting an old MadCatz fightstick using this kit and a zero delay USB encoder for use with RetroPie- as the original encoder didnt work right on it. The install was a breeze and everything worked great and feels solid. The biggest adjustment for me will be getting used to how sensitive the buttons and stick are compared to the old ones.

> 3 dayI purchased this controller and installed it in my new Pandoras Box video game system to replace the factory controller that was originally installed in the system. The Sanwa controller fit well and was easy to install, but the Sanwa controller did not change the control of games like Pac Man.
