> 24 hourMaybe I just got a bad one or was damaged in transit. When I turn it on. The screen is all fuzzy. Takes about 3-5 mins and then it clears up. Looks great when it works. But I just returned it. Ill be ordering something different.

> 24 hourCompany extended my WFH schedule so I’ll have to spend several weeks more working remotely, and figured it is really time to get an extra monitor for my work laptop extended screen and hopefully for my gaming PC upgrade as well. I was particularly looking for a 4K/QHD monitor since I do a lot of Excels so I gain more cells with higher resolution. However I was told by my roommate that for 27” screen size, going above 1080p doesn’t make much of a difference. Well guess she’s right, here I am, for the same price range of a regular 27” QHD 60hz monitor, with a Sceptre 1080p 27” 165hz gaming monitor 1. My roommate is definitely right, for 27” a 1080p monitor is way enough for the clarity and sharpness. Her 27” 4K monitor does show more contents but all letters and characters are just too small in return 2. A DisplayPort cable is included instead of a regular HDMI one. Nice now I can connect it with my work laptop via HDMI and my gaming PC via DP, one button switch to work and one more button to games, with no more plugging and unplugging 3. The screen itself is very impressive in the slim bezel chasis, no dead pixels or so, native 165hz, fast response time 1ms, rich menu customization and more. Basically it has everything I need to be a work/play 2-in-1, even in Excel/Outlook where most of the pure white color background is used, the screen displays the true colors needed. The only thing is you get 144hz only with HDMI, so make sure DP is used if you want to maximize the refresh rate 4. Monitor comes with AMD FreeSync Premium certified, seems to be an upgraded standard of AMD FreeSync. Wish it could do HDR as well, will find out 5. Monitor also comes equipped with speakers built-in, pretty amazing. I’ll say for gaming, stick to your over-the-ear headphones and for working where you might to be focus with some environment noise, speaker output might be something you need in certain scenarios so speakers are definitely a plus Overall this is a very nice gaming monitor, even for me half work and half gaming. Will definitely recommend to my friends and might buy a second one to do dual monitor setup to utilize company’s WFH reimbursement policy. Cheers.

> 24 hourI really like the monitor, but the main problem is that it came with significant backlight bleed. This was particularly frustrating because there isnt anything you can do about it. Amazon was really good about it, they sent a new one but... this one has just as bad bleed. I would say the monitor is really great if you can get one without the backlight bleed. Ive reached out to Sceptre and it looks like theyre going to fix it. But it would be a five star if I didnt have to go through all this trouble just to get a monitor without giant blots of yellow on the sides.

> 24 hourBought this to use vertically as a 3rd monitor. Had some trouble setting up the inputs the way I wanted (was not getting a signal when connecting through an HP laptop dock, to KVM, to monitor. Probably an issue with the dock, not the monitor) so I am switching the inputs manually. I did notice one dead pixel on the monitor I got which isn’t a big deal to me as a 3rd monitor but if it was my main gaming monitor would find it more annoying. This is a huge, cheap, monitor with a solid frame rate. Will serve your needs well if you are trying to game on a lower end graphics card.

> 24 hourAn excellent budget gaming monitor due to the current GPU shortage and the insane prices Im stuck with a GTX 1080 for the foreseeable future, as a result I didnt want to go beyond a1080P Monitor, but wanted to replace my old 24 75 Hertz panel in my dual monitor setup which died with something that had a bit more oomf. Installation was extremely simple no need to even open the manual which came with the panel, it also came with a Phillips head screw driver to install the four screws which I considered to be a nice little touch. One caveat the monitor comes with a Display Port cable and no HDMI cable, this wasnt a problem for me because it was always my intention to install it via DP and I have a plethora of HDMI cables lying around but those seeking to utilize this through HDMI should be aware. This Panel itself exceeded my expectations, the picture quality is great, colors pop without being too over saturated or washed out, for best results I recommend fine tuning the settings, but you have the option to use one of the suggested presets, This is also my first free sync panel which works with Nvidias Gsync software after enabling the option in the Monitors options menu which allows for very smooth gameplay. Speaking of the Options Menu, the buttons to open and navigate it are located behind the monitor on the right hand side, its a little fiddly because facing the front of the monitor you have no indicators or labels for the buttons and it will take some getting used to in order to navigate the settings. The monitor also has no vertical adjustment and can only be angled up or down which is to be expected for a budget monitor and is hardly worth complaining about. Beyond the minor gripes Ive been very satisfied with my purchase.

> 24 hourThis monitor is very light weight and provides good picture quality. I have a laptop with a 1.4 HDMI port and was able to connect my laptop to the monitor and get the 144hz just like it says. I do not have a Display Port on my laptop and only had a HDMI 1.4 port. I recommend this monitor if you only have a HDMI 1.4 port and want to get the 144hz. I purchased several different monitors that said they have 144hz but because I only have a HDMI 1.4 port those other monitors didnt work for me !

> 24 hourI purchased 2 of the Sceptre 27 monitors as upgrades to the 32 inch Samsung TVs I was using. First of all the reason for a change was that the 32s were just a bit too big for how close I sit to my monitors, (about 24-30 inches away.) Secondly, not even being the top of the line TVs they had a poor refresh rate which resulted in a lot of screen tearing. After getting in my 2 new monitors and setting them up with the provided DP cable I turned everything on and went to Youtube for sound check. After playing 9 different songs to check different sound settings, playing with NVIDIA sound settings and windows sound settings I found that - 1. There is no base sound at all 2. Volume turned up to 100% in all available settings = still not being able to hear what was playing from only 24-30 inches away if there was any background noise at all. I got into a chat with tech support who gave me a very specific Taylor Swift video to play then record then send to them via email. After doing so they stated that the sound quality I was receiving was the expected level for these monitors and that I shouldnt expect much from speakers that have no base channel and only getting 2 watts of power. I personally found this very disappointing since the advertised sound quality was, and I quote, -Build-in Speakers -Perfectly suited to work & gaming settings, built-in speakers deliver robust & smooth audio while saving space on your desk. As stated on their product sales page from the Amazon website. There is absolutely nothing even coming close to robust from the sound quality. For a veteran with some hearing loss it is absolutely impossible to justify the sound quality given by these speakers to rate anything higher than extremely poor. As for the picture quality, I find nothing wrong in that department.
