Schmincke - HORADAM® AQUARELL - finest artists watercolor paints, 521 Hookers green, 14 521 044, 1/2 pan

Arrived 22 days after shipping (from UK to USA). Nice bright turquoise color. The only bummer is that these half pans are smaller than US half pans, so not as much paint :( You can see that in my second photo.

Magnificent quality, Schmincke is in a class of its own.

Its got the same fantastic quality youd expect from Schmincke, but Im not a personal fan of this color. If Id know it contained titanium dioxide I wouldve passed up on it. It looks like a great base for light skin tones, but the titanium dioxide makes it a bit too opaque to be practical for my personal style of watercolor.

I had no idea there was a bluish version until I ordered the wrong one! Thanks a lot.

Its more blue than grey, but its a very nice slate blue color, and my new favorite!

Schmincke is an excellent brand! I have 3 of their watercolor tins and many of their tube paints. An instructor required that we get neutral tint so I went with what I knew to be trustworthy. Schminckes neutral tint is NOT neutral. Its VERY red. If you need real neutral tint get Holbeins.
