I love that this product does not have the strong chemical smell and does not dries my hair out.

This is pretty awesome stuff! To start, I was impressed with how well the bottle is designed. It has a nozzle thats perfect for squirting, so when I turn the bottle over it doesnt spill, and I can use exactly what I need and make precise measurements. No drips or spills! I use this with the Schwarzkopf Blond Me Premium Lift powder. The 2 work amazing together as expected. I mix with a ratio of about 1 to 1.5, and it gives a perfect, creamy consistency. The developer is pretty mild on odor, I actually stop noticing it unless I think about it, so its not nauseating to use in a bathroom with no windows, which is awesome. Paired with the corresponding powder, this took my natural ashy medium brown hair color to the perfect banana shade of blond in about 30 minutes but I noticed a huge lift after 15 minutes. It also left my hair feeling soft almost like it was conditioned while I was rinsing my hair. Ive never bleached my hair with this little damage before. After my hair dried, it felt almost normal, like I hadnt done anything to it. Its awesome, compared to a boxed bleach or the cheaper ones at Sallys, my hair would always feel grainy and fake. This product did not do that at all, it feels completely natural and healthy. I DID have some trouble bleaching over some old, faded red in my hair that I was growing out. After 30 minutes, it went to a gingery color. So the next morning after it had air dried over night, I bleached it again for 30 more minutes, and it came up to a very light peach color. Not quite what I hoped for, but pretty impressive for a Volume 20, and it was still light enough that I could tone my hair at least. I dont think this is a flaw with the product at all, it works perfectly, and my hair has never been this healthy after bleaching. I plan on bleaching again after a week or so once my hair has rested. To summarize, this product delivers exactly what it promises. I recommend using it with products in the same line, as you should. It gives the perfect lift with minimal to basically non existent damage. Its low on odor and very easy to use. Perfect product, I have no complaints! Im set with this line for life!

When this is fresh, its fantastic. However, the past two bottles I have purchased have been duds....no peroxide left in them. I can tell because I apply it directly to my roots with my hands instead of mixing with bleach. When its fresh, my fingers generally either sting when I apply it, or it leaves a white cast on them from the peroxide. No sting, no white cast, and no warming of my ashen gray roots, either. Im so disappointed.

I started doing my own bleaching after spending too much trying to fix a bad color job. I am trying to let my natural grey come in, but find that I am not quite there yet. This is so much better than anything I bought at Sallys. It doesnt dry out my hair as much as the other developers. The smell is much better than most other similar products.

This Schwarzkopf Professional Blond Me Premium Care Developer 6%/20 Volume works great when going darker as well! I mixed Schwarzkopf Igora 6-4 & 8-1 with equal parts Premium Care Developer to achieve a light brown base along with the Schwarzkopf Keratin Color 7.5 in order to transition from blonde to light brown w/caramel blonde highlights. It works like a dream!

This bottle arrived with no security seal and no inner seal. I was hesitant to use it but was desperate and did it anyway. After continual checking… and 30+ minutes later, there was ZERO LIFT. Like none. This developer felt and smelled like conditioner. My hair even felt like I’d just had a hair mask on. Which is nice. But… why is this developer not working? I have a very real concern this wasn’t even actual developer. Or it was expired. Either way, I won’t repurchase again. That was time and money down the drain. I’ll buy directly from a beauty supply store next time.
