Exactly what I needed. I have 2 boys that go through helmets like water...mostly through loss but these are good quality and a fantastic price.

Im an adult female but have a small head for hats and helmets. The adult size didnt fit me (though it fit my husband), but I was a bit worried that the youth would be too small. Fortunately, it isnt! The straps fit perfectly snug around my chin and I feel much safer when wearing the youth one than the adult size. Hubby feels the same regarding the adult one. I also like how the inner size can be adjusted with the back gear.

Have not crash tested, but it looks great on the kids head!

This helmet fits perfectly, by my using the sizing chart, thats in the items description, and when it arrived, it was an absolute perfect fit. My head is small, at 21 1/4, and I had to buy the youth helmet, age size, 8 to 14, which I find amusing, that my head is so dang small, at the age of 63. Lol. But the helmet fits nice, and snugly, and it gives me a great sense of security, to protect my little boy head, and I feel so safe, that it will protect any little brain matter, that fits into my little skull. Plus, Schwinn, is the best brand out there, and Im extremely happy with my helmet, and I highly recommend it!
