Scotch Thermal Laminator, 2 Roller System for a Professional Finish, Use for Home, Office or School, Suitable for use with Photos (TL901X)

I needed to do a bit of laminating at home, and I did not want a big machine like the ones at my job. When I saw this one, I really thought it would be perfect. The size was exactly like I wanted. It was Scotch, which is a brand I have used successfully in the past. And, I liked the price. I received it, I laminated with it, and I was very happy with the results! I am picky too, like for example, no air- bubbles! (You know what I mean!) I would recommend it to a loved one.

I had never given any real thought to acquiring a laminator for my home office, but I ran into a situation where I really needed one. Amazon offered a few other models at somewhat lower prices, but I decided to spend the extra few dollars on the name brand Scotch. Very glad that I did. Device heats up reasonably quickly (just a few minutes time). Feeder works flawlessly. Laminations of small and large size (business card size, letter paper size) feed easily and the laminated sheets look professionally done - no gaps, bubbles, or creases. Now that I have such a device, Im finding quite a few uses for it. Very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this Scotch Thermal Laminator hoping to laminate some of our recruiting material to hand out on the street corners to the disaffected youth of my assigned city for my two year committment. I belived the Scotch Thermal Laminator would lend some credibility to our youth movement. I also believed that despite being made fun of and tormented by the youth, they would realize that we take our beliefs seriously and took the time to laminate our literature. Since we normally travel in pairs, we always want to present the same professional image and therfore wear ties. Heres a hint - ties and lamination machines do not mix. The lighting is subpar in our temple so I had to lean over the Scotch Thermal Laminator to ensure it was hot enought to use. It was! When I leaned over, my tie was accidentally fed into the insertion slot and pulled me into it! Im natuarally a panicky soul, at least according to the Father, and I didnt know what to do. My tie was being fed into the machine and my face was getting closer. In fact, I could smell my first beard attempt starting to singe! Thankfully Jebidiaha saw what was happening and simply unplugged the Scotch Thermal Laminator. Sadly, our bikes were stolen from out front while this was happening, but at least we got our brochures laminated and distributed even if it was on foot. I would buy this again. In fact I WILL repurchase this same Scotch Thermal Laminator model once our headquarters wires us our monthly stipend. My only real complaint is that the machine doesnt have a reverse button. :)

Using this for a small business. So small and simple. Buying the 3mm sleeves in bulk so they are about 2.5 cents each. The machine is small, warms up quickly, and is super quiet. For letter size it is simple and flawless. We also chose this machine because it has the hortizonal feed. This means that if we put multiple little pieces within the same sleeve they are less likely to slip around going into the machine..... once laminated they can then be cut into the appropriate size.

I got this for my homeschooling classroom. I had one from another brand and it broke when a paper got stuck. So you can imagine how happy in was when I saw the release button. It came with laminating sheets too which I didnt expect.

Works really good and is very compact and doesnt take up much space. My only complaint is it takes a long time to warm up.

Best one for the price!
