Greater than one weekWe have been using a $150 backpack. This has very comparable features and is sturdy and well-made. The only nitpicky complaint we have is that the front pocket only has one zipper instead of two that meet in the middle.

03-06-2025The sellers descriptions and photos show the features of this pack well. Its big and can swallow sufficent stuff for I would guess, a 2 night/3 day trip or more. The top handle is well padded, something I appreciate when lugging a pack through airport lines etc, since this pack will weigh a few pounds if you stuff it full. The pack straps and the area where the pack contacts your hips are also padded. There are also lashing straps on the side to tighten up the load. There are enough compartments and pockets to stash whatever and everything is well protected by quality fabric and fairly beefy zippers. The strap on the back to hold it to a suitcase wheelie handle is brilliant, how many times..... The internal compartments are lined with a nylon/type material that supports the claim of waterproof. But there are the zippers, so I would say the inside will stay dry during light rain, but I would guess some water may intrude in a heavy downpour. So a very well made quality pack that looks as though it can take years of use and abuse.

> 3 dayIt is a pretty basic pack. My HP laptop fit fine. There is a fair amount of padding across the shoulders for the laptop corners, but if I had a heavy laptop Id wish more padding in the back. There is a pass-through for wires (pictured), a detachable key ring (which a skilled pickpocket might easily access, if he could unzip the outside pocket and push the big plastic button to release the key ring), a couple of cinch straps with buckles across the sides--I guess to shrink ones profile in elevators and subways--and a small mesh zipper pocket, suitable for a pair of socks or a small cheese, or some other item requiring ventilation. There are two large zipper compartments, a big mesh pocket in the laptop section, and two outside zipper compartments, the rearmost of which has the small mesh pocket, next to a phone pocket, all mounted on economy fabric. The straps are covered with breathable mesh (third photo). The padding on the straps is pretty thin. I would not want to haul heavy items in this pack, though the choice of fabric on the straps might be more comfortable in hot weather.

> 3 dayIts large and well padded. Its much bigger than my previous travel backpack. It has many different sized compartments and pockets for organizing and I definitely enjoyed having the additional storage space. But on a recent flight on a Boeing 737, even when pushed in as far as possible, the width was perfect size, but the top edge does stick out and reduce the foot room and floor space. Its well padded too, but that does add to the weight (2 lbs even when completely empty). The material is water resistant but I would not consider it water proof. Though it doesnt come with any documentation, be sure to come back to the sellers page where all the useful features are pointed out. I highly recommend it as a fantastic value for a top quality backpack.

> 3 dayI needed a roomy but not too big backpack to take on a train and this worked perfectly. Lots of sections and plenty of space.

> 3 dayI have bought relatively inexpensive backpacks online previously and been consistently disappointed with the quality of the item I receive. Honestly I have resigned myself to needing to buy another backpack every year as none of them seem to last very long. This bag exceeds all of my expectations. It feels sturdy throughout, I am able to fit a full gaming laptop plus a 2nd computer (a smaller windows-based convertible PC/tablet) with both chargers, and a mouse and microphone, with no difficulty at all. I could slip several more books in to this pack, or some clothes, as well. There are numerous compartments, all of which are easy to access. I appreciate the strap to help reinforce the contents of the main laptop compartment, to keep the computer more securely held in place. Granted, I had relatively low expectations for this based on my previous let-downs with backpacks -- but I was truly blown away by how well built this one is. I think itll last through several years of abuse, Ill update my review if I run in to any problems but that is not expected given the build quality and the overall feel of the materials. Its a very good value.
