Excellent product.

I used this after I read the label and dosed the cap amount into my tank. Then slowly but surely every single fish and shrimp died from suffocation in my tank. On the bottle it dosent say anything about overdoses being deadly BUT if you go online to seachems website they specifically mention that if you use to much it will take all the oxygen out of the water for an hour or more! Gee maybe you should put that ON THE BOTTLE. So now I know never to use seachem products.

brings down the nitrites and nitrates

This is the best water conditioner on the market. It also converts toxic ammonia to non-toxic ammonium. But if your test kit only measures total ammonia you wont see the change in values - you have to buy a special ammonia kit to separate out the two types of Ammonia. As an overall water conditioner there is none better. Just remember you dont need to use too much (its very expensive) to get it to work but I know most of us want to be 100% safe. Works nearly instantly to remove chlorine.

always keep plenty of bottles on hand, only de-chlorinator that removes nitrates and ammonia. been using for 5+ years. one capful = 55 gallons
