Seachem Acid Buffer 300gram

The buffer is useless. Ph will rebound very quickly. I read some review and then bought it, please dont mislead buyer.

Make sure you use this in unison with alkaline buffer to keep your fish safe.

This product is a must if your ph levels are high. I used it as directed and within 2-3 days, the levels were down to where they should be.

I bought this product based on positive customer reviews because I have a low tech planted tank with very high PH. I lowered the PH from 8+ to 7 and within 2 weeks had a massive algae bloom turning the aquarium to swamp water. Im not sure what I did incorrectly, but was hoping an algae bloom wouldnt be an issue being this is a non-phosphate buffer. I changed out 90% of the water and the water is still cloudy. I really like Seachem products and it lowered the PH, the side affects were not worth it for me. The instructions leave a lot of room for improvement.

Lowered the buffer so I cold lower the alkalinity. It was very high in my tank. I have always used tap water with conditioner, but it has turned very hard and very alkaline. Nothing else worked. This worked in a day.

This stuff is very powerful so be careful when using and follow the instructions. DO NOT OVER DOSE.

I bought these in 02/17 for Purigen and they both have already disintegrated. Will not buy again.

It does its job but in a planted aquarium that does not do RO, this must be added daily continuously. Lowers pH slow enough for safety of fish.
