The city I moved to has terrible tap water. After over a week the alkalinity was not going down on a new tank set up. So I bought this out of desperation and let me tell you it works!! Now for all my water changes I sprinkle a little in a bucket and it’s good to go. (Always test strip it to confirm)

Bought this to try and lower the pH of my small, (300 gal) pond. Used the entire jar within a few days time, and the pH did not drop at all.

It works! My local tap is very basic (8.2) and though my tetras were living just fine in it I always knew they desired more neutral waters. Sure enough, as I gradually lowered the pH (this product as well as the acid buffer) I noticed more activity and appetite in my fish and they look great!

I immediately got my exceedingly high pH under control with very little product and minor effort on my part. My tap water is 8.5 and I dropped it to 6.5 for my South American cichlids in a few days with no problems.

This stuff is way too strong! and following the directions almost killed my fish! I used it to reduce my PH from 7.6 but using a 1/4 tsp for my 20 G tank it dropped the PH below 6.0 within a few minutes. My fish are still in shock due to the rapid change and I DONT KNOW IF THEY SURVIVE! it does work! but be cautious because you may end up killing your fish instead. They definitely need better instructions for the product!

I bought these in 02/17 for Purigen and they both have already disintegrated. Will not buy again.

IN MY RO/DI WATER ONLY USE A SMALL PINCH,,AND I MEAN A SMALL PINCH AT A TIME,,IF YOU PUT TO MUCH,THEN YOU MUST PUT IN THE ALKALINTY BUFFER TO RAISE UP PH,,WHICH NOW IT RAISES UP TDS TO UNREAL LEVELS..SO, RIGHT FROM BEGINNING USE A VERY SMALL PINCH ,AND TEST PH...GOOD PRODUCT..
