Seachem Matrix Carbon 500ml

This is a great product although this is the first time I am using it. I used to use activated carbon that comes with filter refills. Matrix carbon is much superior in performance and delivers better results. I have a bio filter submersed in the tank ( not a bio filter in the mechanical filter).

Rinses fast and lasts a long time. Running in my Fluval G3 FW 55g. Water is crystal clear.

Excellent aquarium carbon media.

Well 1st I dont run carbon all that often, but over the years I have found that only 2 brands really do a better job at least in my tanks. If you need to remove resudule meds or other impurities Seachem Matrix Carbon is the way to go. Toss it in a aquarium mesh bag put it in your filter.

Definitely lasts longer that others carbon prod7cts.

Best carbon I have used but its finer grain size makes using it in a flow through media necessary. I put a about 4 ounces in a 180 micron mesh bag and place it in each cannister filter. I change it every 3 weeks and it does fantastic.

Although not the cheapest choice in active carbon i belive its by far the best choice and all i will use in my reef system, lowest phosphorus levels of any carbon , spearical shape allows for better flow as well as more surface area also due to spherical shape. Keeps my water spotless and safe for critters, i like to change every 2 weeks as i feel as it still may be working in my 100 gallon its mostly exhausted .

I added about 4 tablespoons into a media bag, and placed into my (Hang on the Back filter) , within days my water was sparkling clean, my Nano saltwater tank water has never been this clear. Great product and saves me money, because I dont have to replace the cartridge filter that comes standard with my HOB filter.

I like that this carbon is cleaner than most other carbons for the money , and it last longer also than other brands . The round shape of this carbon seems to help it work better than other activated carbons and it is doesnt have bulky pieces of carbon pieces like other activated carbons
