I have a 29 gallon quarantine tank for my reef aquarium. Up until recently, I only had two or three fish in it at a time. This time around, I had 6 small fish, but still six fish. I couldnt keep ahead of the ammonia buildup with daily water changes, so I needed help. This product was the perfect solution! Ill be using it from now on as I stock my aquarium.

Great stuff but I don’t use it much because I use previously filtered water

I haven’t used any other water conditioner so I can’t compare but this water conditioner is really good for my freshwater tank and it’s a good size bottle so it lasts a while if you don’t have a huge tank since it only uses a small amount for a huge amount of water (5 mL for every 200L/50 US gallons). Removes all chemicals in tap water and it doesn’t alter the perimeters in the tank if you add the conditioned water so my freshwater shrimp are really happy with this water conditioner since they get stressed easily with changes in water perimeters. Although, just to add, it is just plain ol water conditioner so it doesn’t add anything to the water which is nice because it keeps the perimeters stable and doesn’t alter anything in the tank.

Aside from dechlorinating water, PRIME serves another important purpose that many do not realize. A lot of the tap water in the US contains ammonia which is harmful to fish. PRIME converts this ammonia to a non-harmful state for about 24hrs. In a well-established tank, this is enough time for the biological filter to take care of it completely.

Everyone else has already said everything that needs to be said about this amazing water conditioner but I will chip in with one extra thing. I was wondering if my water quality had noticeable improved somehow? I was wondering if my fish looked perkier. It couldnt be down to this new water conditioner I was using, surely not.

Frequent water changes are the most important thing you can do for your fish. If you use tap water you MUST use a product to neutralize the chlorine and this product works well for that. Product will also help with harmful levels of ammonia from waste in your tank. I use once a week with my water changes. This bottle will last a long time as you only need a cap full per tank per use.

I have used this for years and it’s the only product I will ever use to detox the water in my aquariums

BOTTOM LINE: This stuff works great. If you want healthy water that will promote healthy fish, this product really works great. I use it all the time for all of my aquariums and will never use anything else.

After continuous problems with high ammonia, this did the trick. Its worth its weight in gold. I write this review in tribute to all the dead fish I lost before I bought this.
