> 24 hourI thought Id upgrade to these after having a pair of Sony Professional over ears for the first few years I learned to DJ. These cost about 60 bucks more so I expected them to be great. Good: The sound on these is excellent and barely anything is lost with the on-ear design. Theyre lightweight and comfortable, you could mix with these for hours and your ears wont get sore or sweaty. Bad: Every negative thing about these comes down to the build quality. The rubber pads peel immediately after you start using them, right off the bat. The wire is super short, so these things get ripped off your head pretty frequently if youre active behind the decks. After that, it was about three months before the connectors started getting loose and making crackling noises and drops in volume. I constantly have to fiddle with the connectors to get the sound to come through correctly. The connectors are not enclosed, so its easy to bump them and loosen them. Eventually, the left one started to do the same. It was too far outside a return window to do anything about this and Im pretty unsatisfied with these. Stick with cheaper Sony headphones until you can go up one more tier and stay far away from these.

> 24 hourAnyone who works in a DJ booth, especially mobile, knows that headphone cords can get tangled or interfere with movement. While some dont care about this, others like myself prefer to use a spiral cord that contracts and expands to stay out of the way while giving flexibility. If a DJ is running multiple programs, lights, etc., or working a private event like a wedding, these are simply not good enough. I imagine they are great for listening and the lightweight is good for longer events, but for most DJs who dislike tripping on cords or getting hung up, this is a poorer option than wireless. I recommend these only if you dont mind getting tangled up in long fixed cords or want to look cool in your bedroom.

> 24 hourI got these instead of the pioneer x7 because they were a little cheaper and because a few reviews of the x7 said they break after a year. The hd25 arent as comfy as the x7 becuase the earcups are kinda small and the hd25 sound isnt as good as the x7 in the low end the hd25 start to break up and distort. The hd25 do come with replacement earcup wires in case your wires go bad. The hd25 cancel outside noise well and are loud enough to handle a club environment with heavy bass. Overall happy with the purchase.

> 24 hourI’m really disappointed with these. I bought a pair about 10 years ago and the sound is way better. The reason I bought these was an issue with one of the wires on my old ones. The sound is really just ok not worth the price for me. Then top it off the left side is lower in sound. Really not happy here.

> 24 hourbought these to replace MDR-v6s I was using for film sound monitoring, the upgrade was a long time coming. a little tight, adjusted with a CAREFUL couple minutes of setting across the knees and warming with a hairdryer, removing/checking and repeating the process. Didnt want to chance over-stretching and attempt to re-compress. sound is phenomenal, arrived in the mail, immediately used them as a personal stereo off of a blackberry priv running Blackplayer at full volume, bass boost and amplifier(4kmDB) Behemoth, Justice, Anilah, RATM, and Chopin. the HD25s struggled a bit with RATM and Justices heavier bass, but at listenable headphone (master)volume (amp and bass still maxed) there were no issues. Very nice, lightweight, and simple construction that lends itself to getting beat up and still working perfectly. only downside for me is a personal preferance, I CANNOT find an aftermarket or OEM cable that allows for a left side cable.

> 24 hourTheres a good reason these have been a standard for DJs over the last 25+ years. Comfortable, light weight and sound great.
