Greater than one weekbought these to replace MDR-v6s I was using for film sound monitoring, the upgrade was a long time coming. a little tight, adjusted with a CAREFUL couple minutes of setting across the knees and warming with a hairdryer, removing/checking and repeating the process. Didnt want to chance over-stretching and attempt to re-compress. sound is phenomenal, arrived in the mail, immediately used them as a personal stereo off of a blackberry priv running Blackplayer at full volume, bass boost and amplifier(4kmDB) Behemoth, Justice, Anilah, RATM, and Chopin. the HD25s struggled a bit with RATM and Justices heavier bass, but at listenable headphone (master)volume (amp and bass still maxed) there were no issues. Very nice, lightweight, and simple construction that lends itself to getting beat up and still working perfectly. only downside for me is a personal preferance, I CANNOT find an aftermarket or OEM cable that allows for a left side cable.

> 3 dayThese headsets are just great, ready for you to take them wherever you go. Excellent for noisy places and for booths with no noise cancellation. Great audio quality

22-11-2024After only literally having these headphones for two weeks, the left ear is the only one playing any sound. I have encountered this issue before but usually after some reasonable wear and tear from using them out. Literally only used these once or twice and kept them secured in q case. For the price of $120 they are a total RIP OFF. Never purchasing again.

> 3 dayWow, I was searching for a long time and watching for top ten best headsets and this headset came up every time. I was going to get the Technics headset, but saw a lot not happy with new design. So I bought these. Flat out amazing! At first I thought something was wrong? The music came in different. Then after awhile. I started to trip out on the clarity I was getting with only one ear covered. Amazing! I was hearing lyrics of songs I have had for years and was understanding every single word. Some songs I have had for years had high pitched hits I never clearly heard before! Get these! The price is right, tons of web sights recommended these. You won’t be upset.

> 3 dayIve been using this model headphone for about 20 years professionally as a medical transcriptionist. Back in the day the cord was rubberized, non tangle and non kinking.. The phones themselves sounded great. I used them about 10 hours a day between work and recreationally. Fast forward to about 5 years ago when I bought a new pair after my original beloved set gave up the ghost and just fell apart. The cord was now a much cheaper plasticized cord that never straightened out and stayed permanently bent and kinked. One of the headphone wires developed a short or some sort of contact issue that made it stop working until the cord was unplugged from the speaker and then plugged back in. This happened constantly. Bear in mind that both cords going to both headphones are detachable and can be unplugged from the headset. So I bought yet another pair that had the same issue of sound shorting out in one headphone until the cord was unplugged and then replugged. This happened multiple times daily. Same cheapo plasticized cord. Then I Googled and discovered that the cord connection was the source of a problem for many people, some of whom offered self-fixes on YouTube or other websites. A new cord is outrageously expensive, in the 40-50 dollar range. So in my experience these are not what they used to be, not even close. Be aware of the cord shorting issue before you buy and think about whether you want to risk having the same issue that has plagued many owners of these headphones.

> 3 dayI thought Id upgrade to these after having a pair of Sony Professional over ears for the first few years I learned to DJ. These cost about 60 bucks more so I expected them to be great. Good: The sound on these is excellent and barely anything is lost with the on-ear design. Theyre lightweight and comfortable, you could mix with these for hours and your ears wont get sore or sweaty. Bad: Every negative thing about these comes down to the build quality. The rubber pads peel immediately after you start using them, right off the bat. The wire is super short, so these things get ripped off your head pretty frequently if youre active behind the decks. After that, it was about three months before the connectors started getting loose and making crackling noises and drops in volume. I constantly have to fiddle with the connectors to get the sound to come through correctly. The connectors are not enclosed, so its easy to bump them and loosen them. Eventually, the left one started to do the same. It was too far outside a return window to do anything about this and Im pretty unsatisfied with these. Stick with cheaper Sony headphones until you can go up one more tier and stay far away from these.

> 3 dayI bought these for DJing, to replace a heavily used, 15+-year-old pair of Sony MDR-7506 that finally broke down. I went with these due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews: best DJ headphones ever; been using them for 20 years; dont even bother with anything else; blah, blah, blah. Well...I dont get the hype. These are smallish and light headphones with decent sound. And thats it. As compared to the 7506, I feel that theyre a significant downgrade: A) They feel really plasticy and flimsy. Both are made of plastic of course, but these just leave a much cheaper and less solid overall impression. B) Theyre much, much less comfortable in every way. The headband is smaller and less adjustable, the ear cups are tiny and less padded. And I dont understand the point of the rotating left cup at all. When I am DJing using only one ear cup it moves a bit, and then when I drop the headphones back around my neck they stick out at a weird angle. So Im forced to reach up and push them back into normal position. How does this help? C) Sound quality is not quite as good. Its probably a bit more neutral, which might be good if youre doing music production, but for DJ work I really want bass and richness. MDR-7506 delivers quite well here and these things sound slightly tinny in comparison. D) The cord on the 7506 is much nicer feeling. Soft rubberized spiral there, vs straight and not-quite-flexible-enough plastic on these. E) The 7506 cost 33% less. F) The 7506 include a carrying case. (Very minor, but still.) So all in all, I cant recommend these. Obviously they have their fans; loads of them. As always, YMMV. Im not going to send my pair back at this point. Theyre good enough, and given the build quality I suspect Im not going to get even close to 15 years out of these before some bit breaks -- probably that ridiculous rotating ear cup -- and I buy something else instead. Who knows, maybe at some point Ill stumble upon that hidden element that makes these the best of all time. I can only hope.

> 3 dayI love the headphones, which is no surprise because I loved the previous version (HD 25-1 II). My only note to buyers is to make sure you are careful whom you buy it from. I bought this listing beliving that it would be the HD25 Plus (as thats what it says in the product title) which comes with a pouch, extra pads, a curled cable and a little bit higher of a price to match. What I got in the box instead was the base HD-25 (no difference in the headphones themselves, just the accessories and slightly cheaper of course) which is annoying. Not enough to be really mad, but its made it clear that headphones are probably one of the things I will have to buy in person so I know exactly what Im getting before they get my money.

> 3 dayGreat headphones but the wires are too thin and short out this is the second pair and time it’s done it in less than a year. As much as these are and for their intended user this design is an epic fail. Don’t waste your money. :( so sad.
