For owners of 2018 model 3. The only USB ports you can use are the two in the center counsel. I read some where that there was a USB port in the glovebox. There isnt. Also, the two USB ports on the back can only charge a phone. It cant communication with USB devices.

The Hygea SentryCam for Tesla USB Flash Drive (64GB), provides USB for Tesla Sentry Mode and Tesla Dash Cam for Tesla Model 3/Y/S/X. This USB was easy to use. It is a simple as opening the package and plugging it in. I like that this USB has SentryCam written on it so it will not be confused with another of my many USB drives. If you have a Tesla then this is a great tool to have and keep plugged in just in case you need it.

This works well - but make sure you actually need one first! My car was in the shop and I didnt have the opportunity to go see if I had a flash drive in it prior to purchasing this - when I got my car back I noticed it does have a factory installed one (I have a 2023 Model Y). The factory version has double the space so I will not be replacing this but Ill keep it for future use if needed.

I got this for my 2018 Model 3. The Tesla formats a flash drive easily enough but if you just want to plug it in and have it work right away, this is for you. I plugged it in and moments later made a clip to test and it was already working. I like that it says SentryCam on it too... :) The small size sits nicely inside the USB Hub I had added and firmly into the USB port. I replaced a SanDisk thats been in there for a couple of years now. What I didnt expect was how much faster this is. Accessing videos with my older flash was sluggish at best. This works almost instantly to retrieve and play the video clips. I figured it was just my older M3 but it was my old flash.

I ordered this for a 2023 Model Y only to discover the car already had one installed in the glove box. I tested it for a few days and it performs as expected but I went back to the Tesla one as it was larger in size. I will keep this as a backup. Check your car before ordering to make sure you do not already have one. It performs as expected so I give it 4 stars.

The SentryCam for Tesla 64GB USB flash drive saves you the trouble of formatting a thumb drive to exFAT and adding a directory. That only saves a few seconds, but you wont confuse this one with another drive you may have because of its unique shape. It works great. Dont wait. Also, every time you are about to leave a parking space, do a quick walk around your car and playback the video if you see a dent. I didnt notice that someone must have dropped something heavy on my passenger side front fender (maybe a TV box or something at Costco). I didnt notice it for a month or two so didnt catch the culprit. It would probably cost $1000 to really fix it right (dent, paint). Ill just buff it out a bit and live with it. Dont do what I did. Get this now and check your car every time.

This small USB 3 device fits nicely in the Jeda Hub in my Model 3 and records both Sentry Mode and Dashcam video. No configuration was necessary. Just plug it in and go. If you want simple, this is it. And 64GB is plenty of room for recordings.

I got this for my brother-in-law who owns a Tesla 3. This metal USB flash drive will come in handy in case of an emergency & requires no set-up as its already synched up to meet Tesla specifications. Its small & compact, about the size of a large paper clip & will easily fit into your storage compartment. Plus, it has 64GB of storage so you can start using it immediately. The storage capability is more than adequate for everyday use for reading & writing data onto the drive & this flash drive will work well with Teslas Dash Cam and Sentry Mode.

The USB died on me. Evidently this is an issue when you rewrite a USB over and over as will happen for dashcam/sentry mode cam USBs unless the device is specifically made for that type of data execution. This product is no better than a regular USB and is not purpose built for Sentry / dashcam. I would not recommend it.
