This is the best stropping compound Ive found. Sticks to the leather, sharpens & polishes well, and last a long time. Very pleased with this product.

TLDR: good compound for price, high quality, and a good size. However not polishing grade if that’s what you’re looking for I bought this bar thinking it was something it wasn’t. I needed a super high grit compound to polish the edges of my knives (kitchen and other fixed blades usually) and thought this would be that. It wasn’t. There are however some good things. Pros: - It’s big. There’s probably more than you need but it’s good to have - it’s not died out! It’s the perfect consistency to load onto a standard rawhide leather strop, hasn’t dried out and holds well to the leather without cracking and chipping off (wax compound) - the price is incredible for what you get. Don’t get me wrong, this is a stropping compound, and will easily hone a knives edge (I usually hone with this compound after 8000 grit whetstone or 6000 grit oilstone and this compound helps to remove the burr) Cons - not a polishing compound. If you’re looking for something that will put a mirror edge on your knives, this isn’t that. After stropping there are visible buffing marks (knives are still really sharp) I’ll edit this comment if I find a good polishing compound. The one I ran out of was white.

Works as advertised. Put it on a new strop and sharpened to pocket knives to razor sharpness.

This was a good price, comes in a simple box, and works exactly as I wanted it to work. I know its simple, but polishing compounds can get expensive and many are overpriced. Ill buy again from here next time I need it.

Plenty of product, will last a long time. It definitely works. I have been using an old leather belt right now and the stropping compound help as an abrasive to sharpening as well as de-burr

I have much green compound however I bought this specifically for a leather hand help strop and this stuff works very well :)
