Shinok Travel Umbrella Compact Folding Sun Umbrellas Lighweight Auto Open Close for Women Parasol

I originally bought this to use as a rain umbrella, but have discovered how effective it is as a parasol. I used it to stand in line out on a hot sidewalk and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the temperature under the umbrella was a good 5-7 degrees cooler than with another umbrella that didnt have the black layer inside. This umbrella is auto open and close, so it should be practical to use in the rain as well. It folds down to a compact size, but has a larger canopy than you would expect for a folding umbrella. Im really pleased with the color too - exactly as it appeared on my monitor. Its a very pretty shade of pale mint green. You have to work a bit to get it folded and strapped tightly enough to fit it inside its carrying case, but if that is a problem, I could just not put it back in its case! I have only had it for a couple of months, so cant speak to the durability. If it breaks within a year, I will definitely come back and revise this review.

Great product just smells a little different

I live in the PNW, was no match for the weather.

There is a gross odor, I’m going to try and clean it to see if it goes away. Hopefully it does. Also it’s kinda confusing? It has a button and it pops out but the entire umbrella opens up which wasn’t expected so it opened inside and ya know, bad luck ;) - anyways getting it back down was weird? It seemed like I was breaking it cuz the button doesn’t push it down. Idk too high tech and I’m 25 lol.

Broke after daughter used it once.

My teen daughter has been using this umbrella for over a year. She uses it to keep the sun off her walking to and from high school. It fits nicely in her backpack. She gets lots of compliments. We decided to buy a second one in a different color because we liked it so much
