The placemat came packaged in a no-frills plastic wrapper and was absent of any off smells. It comes with a tie inside the package so the mat can be rolled up for portability. I keep it in the diaper bag so we always have a placemat handy when we go out, either to restaurants or friends houses. It cleans up very easily with soap and water and I use the loop on the corner to hang it up to dry. The loop on the edge also makes it easy to pick the mat up. I placed it on my countertop and placed both hands on it and pushed with all my might and the mat stays in place; it wouldnt budge an inch! The raised edge helps keep baby-sized spills isolated without being overly intrusive. If you need a good placemat while youre on the go, I would recommend this one!

Honestly I got this out of desperation to keep our wooden table a little more clean, especially the cracks. While it is nicer than nothing, wood is not the easiest thing for it to stick on... It sticks well on our granite and out tile on the floor. But its so so on the wooden table. Maybe if we did not have planks and it was 100% smooth it would work better? But besides that it is very easy to clean, it is still nice to keep most things on it while my toddler is eating and keep the table a little cleaner. Since it does not stick 100% to my table I do have to watch my toddler so she does not fling it off! Which is a new issue, but toddlers do things like that any way so is that new? lol. I also wish It would have come with a travel bag so It could stay clean if we ever took it with us. Not necessary, but would be a nice addition. Overall, its a nice mat and really will be good for a variety of uses with little ones.

Love the rolling for easy storage. One caution is if you are using this with a chair that mounts to a table (see pics). Its to wide fit between ours so we laid it over the arms. This make for quick mess as the little one was able to grab it and tug it away. So this is thin enough to attach under the arms to hold it in place. The challenge there is you have to take off the chair to put it away or for clean up. The other option would be to turn it lengthwise.

They mostly stay put, but my toddlers can pull them around the table with enough force. Because they’re silicone, they are hard to wipe clean if any dust or hair gets on them. And because they’re so flimsy, they’re difficult to wash in the sink. But they serve their purpose.

I ordered this item to make kitchen cleanup easier in a high-use area of our counter, and its doing the job thus far. Its very easy to clean, either by wiping with a damp cloth or, for dried, stuck-on messes, rinsing under the faucet. Its made of heavy, high-quality silicone and looks very nice on our counter.

My kids are old enough to not need these mats, though I see where they would work great with babies or toddlers. They are smaller than a normal placemat, and super easy to clean. They dont slide on the surfaces that I have tested them on (wooden table, Formica countertop). They also dont slide on the vinyl floor! We got two of them for keeping our stainless-steel dog food and water bowls around on the floor. They also keep any spillover contained. The lip is short, maybe 1/8, but the dogs dont splash very much.

These are a very generous size and the neutral colors are breath of fresh air for my home decor! Love them!

Love using this in between washing the tray that comes with my Babytrend high chair. It helps keep food from the pockets and crevices. Very easy to clean, I just wipe it down. Also great for when he is playing with something messy and I want easy clean up.

This mat works great. Our little one is still getting the hang of scooping stuff on his own and sometimes the food ends up going over the edge of the bowl or plate. This is great for catching little spills like that. The backside is sticky but its not covered in anything, like there isnt a sticky residue, its just really smooth rubber. Our tabletop is wood and it has the grain and little valleys in the top which I was worried it wouldnt stick to. The suction type bowls or mats wont stick to it since it isnt totally flat to sustain suction. This doesnt need that. This really does do everything it describes, just need to make sure your little one doesnt pick it up when your not looking. I definitely recommend this.
