Actually getting those advertised speeds on this drive is killer. The system is snappy and crisp! I dont know if its because the drive is paired with the 32gb sk hynix m die ram (wish I could have gotten a die 64gb kit) that its really responsive but, Im super pleased with this drive. Should have went with a 2tb instead of the 1tb is the only downside for me, definitely recommend.

Installed in a ps5 and it’s working good so far. Just make sure to get heat sink and thermal pads for it. Will update review if anything happens.

Have the WD850s, the WD850Xs and the SK Hynix P41s. The P41s are pushing well over spec while the the WD850xs are all well under. Ive had WD tech support investigate why their drives are underperforming the specs they advertise and the answers were lackluster. They could not give me a straight answer after 3 months of sending them log and config files, going back and forth like an idiot. the WD850x is advertised as delivering upto 7300Mb/s but im getting under 7000Mb/s with a 13900K and MSI ACE Z690 MB. This is the case on 2 different setups I have. The other a 12700K and both systems report the same read/write results. WD tech support states that drives meet specs of UPTO 7300MB/s so that means there is nothing wrong with the drives and you can expect anything from 0 (Zero) to 7300MB/s and it meets their spec. Thats total BS. The SK Hynix P41 outperforms the the WD850X considerably in both read and write. The SK Hynix P41 NvMe drives outperform their own specs and they dont hype about it. Way too much hype on the WD drives and as a result they are are underpricing the competition to sell the $%@#$ they are pushing. The WD850x will be the last WD NvMe drives I ever purchase from them. Not because they are bad but because of WDs horrible support, false advertising and lack of trying to figure out what is holding back their drives.....or do they already know the competition is way ahead of them. Se la vie WD.

Drive performs beyond expectations! Amazingly fast and reliable! Windows 10 Pro boots from off to login in 6-7 seconds. I rated 4 stars and not 5 because the make and model of the drive cant be detected by some performance testing software, which gives it a 0 score. Weird. But 100%recommend!

Delivery was fast, got it same day. The install went smoothly, I used clonezilla to clone my drive.(SK hynx does have a migration tool.) My issue is that my speeds are off. My read speeds are fine around 7000 MB/S, but my write speeds are 2000 MB/S. I have tried updating the firmware but there is no firmware upgrade for the P41. I also updated Windows nothing has helped. Looks like I will need to return.

Im very happy with my SSD. SK Hynix definitely made the right decision making and marketing their own SSDs after all these years. It does what it says on the tin, and is priced competitively with the Samsung 980 Gen 4 taking into account the fact the Hynix does not include the heatsink. I bought the Sabrent Rocket heatsink to put on it and that fits and works great as well. Image of speed test included, I got over 6,300 MB/s read speed which is pretty darn close to the 7,000 claimed, my PC is a pretty modest system running a Ryzen 5 5600x, 16GB of DDR4 3600 RAM, and Radeon RX5700 GPU so I would have been surprised to get max speed out of it. As it stands I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good M.2 Gen 4 SSD. The 5 year warranty tells you they stand behind their products as well.

Build a new rig. My previous rig had a 980 PRO 2TB SSD (which was fine). I was looking for 3x NVMes for my new build and stumbled upon this. I remember SK HYNIX from when I was younger and using a lot of their stuff. I was not disappointed! The speeds are phenomenal and it runs rock solid. Just dont forget your cooler! My third one is coming in tomorrow so I can add it as my 3rd disk to my RAID 0 array. The picture is two of them in RAID 0 in case anyone was wanting to do the same (this is one of my SLOWER tests too).

Its a PCIe 4.0 drive from a tech-dominant company... not shocking to see high speeds from this product. But, I do noticed a few things that are important to professional usage: > The ability to translate regular files into thumbnails (images) is incredible - almost instantaneous. Normally, I dont see an instant translation on the first use - very important for CAD and CAE files that take advantage of Windows thumbnail viewing. > Load time for CAD (i.e., Solidworks, Solid Edge) is much more fluent with larger assemblies - which most users dont care about (compared to Samsung 980 pro). If you use mechanical drives at this point - shame on you? > Opening video, music, and photos is a noticeable reward with this SSD (small file cache and multitasking is fabulous) > If you have an extensive movie or music library this drive is premium (small file handling) with crazy speed - helps with file conversions and compression/decompression. > Windows 10 load time has many factors - but this drive shaved 5 seconds from my previous SSD (total = 7 seconds). Yes, Im greedy, bias, and easily spoiled by advanced technology.

Its hard to argue against Hynix, unless Samsung is having a crazy sale. Even then, you know enthusiast-grade Hynix products arent junk. But I wasnt expecting this to put my venerable 980 Pro to bed. On a lark, I bought two 2TB drives during Amazons Black Friday sale, and my only regret is not buying three. The read speed is neck and neck with the 980 Pro, but the write speed is nearly 2,000 MB/s faster. Thats jaw-dropping. You can see the results in the attached image. Thats on a secondary drive in an MSI Z690 Pro board with no heatsink at all. Not an enthusiast board. Not active cooling. Not even passive cooling (besides the Hynix sticker). Nothing crazy. And just over 7,100 read / 6,700 write is impressive at an enthusiast-grade price. Even a regular price. But at the bargain basement price these were going for? I almost feel like a thief!
