Greater than one weekRemember, they are plastic. But for what they are, they are great. I could break it off, sure, but we use it to keep our kids from opening doors. And for that it works. My daughter has even slammed into it many times and they are holding strong.

> 3 dayI have a super, I mean SUPER smart dog. He watches you do something and he mimics it. We have sliding closet doors and he gets in and steals shoes and whatever he can and destroys each item. We put magnets on the doors but he is strong and could still get in. So, I got these and we now have total peace. Now I can laugh at him instead of him laughing at us. They are a breeze to install, they stick like super glue and easy to open and close. Highly recommend if you have a bandit dog or too curious kids.......

> 3 dayThey didnt seem like theyd be strong enough - but they ARE! My husband accidentally tore one off, but thats because he opened the door with such a force since he forgot the door had a lock so he was TRYING to break it free. lol It works to keep our daughter inside, put it up high enough so she couldnt reach it and easy enough for all who need to open the door to unlock it. :)
