> 3 dayIt was very easy to install. I was surprised how well it works. My 16 month old granddaughter could unlock the sliding glass door and open the door by herself. She could also take the board out that I would use in the track of the door so this was a great solution for safety when shes at my home which is every day and when we retire for the evening. I can put this gadget high up on the sliding glass door so she cant reach it because you can put it anywhere on the door if you just want the door to open certain amount or not open at all. It is difficult for me to unlock it due to the arthritis in my fingers but Ill take this gadget any day over a board in my tracks of the door.

> 3 dayThey fit great and are flat enough to let the door slide past. Other ones I bought were wrong about thickness

> 3 dayAfter my cats snuck in my closet and ruined 3 brand new blouses to climb to the top shelf I decided I needed to find something to stop this from happening again. These sliding door locks are awesome and try as my cats might they can no longer open the doors. These were also very easy to install.

> 3 dayBought this to keep my child from getting into our lizards tank because the doors slide open on the front. He figured out how to use it in a matter of days. It works great, but if your child is smart.... its not childproof haha.

> 3 dayThese are a few millimeters slimmer than the Burglabar product. Burglabar was too thick for my sliding glass door but these work perfect. Just keep in mind these are good as a child proofing measure only. it would be very easy for an adult to force their way through this.

> 3 dayI’ve tried similar child locks of the same style that work better. When you try to open the door without opening the lock, the lock flexes and feels like it will peel off. The locking mechanism isn’t as good as others I’ve tried, you have to be careful about making sure it’s clicked into the locked position.

Ah ha
Greater than one weekThis went up easy and works well to keep my 2yr old son out of the closet. Over time and with a lot of use or if the door is tugged on a lot, it will need to be replaced. Update 3 years later: we have never replaced one! They are holding up great! Used them on closet doors and even sliding glass door.
