I have 4 sharping stones that get my knives pretty sharp but I couldnt get it to the next level, this stone got me to that hair splitting razor blade sharp, after I used it on my EDC knife along with knives plus strop it will slice through a piece of paper by the weight of the knife, Ive never had a stone that would put an edge on a knife like that, outstanding performance

Work as intended good quality

I like these, but took me a little while to get used to the fatter size than regular straws. No taste or odor, and I feel like an eco-warrior when I whip it out at restaurants, telling the waiter, “no thank you, I brought my own”. (Not really, but I’m sure some people feel that way.)

This is just one of those purchases that I put off for too many years, while trying alternatives that never worked out just right. For all that time, I have been sharpening my knives on a Smiths soft Arkansas stone permanently mounted to a cedar slab with a cedar cover, then stropping them on an old wide leather belt impregnated with razor stropping compound. I am very satisfied with the quality of this stone, and with the fact that it is NOT permanently affixed to the lower part of the wooden box. It permits me to hone and dress the edges of my knifes without too much grinding of material. Very pleased.

This is my first Arkansas, cant compare with others, but Im totally satisfied. Used for watch screwdrivers and kitchen knives.

Love these straws! Perfect for large zak tumbler. They clean easily. However one fell to the bottom of the dishwasher and it burned a small part of it so it no longer works. So I recommend using a dishwasher safe cage so it won’t fall to the bottom or washing by hand.

Nice hard stone, my experience is mostly with japanese style water stones, these remind me of my Shapton ceramic stones. nice hard stone would guess in the 1000 grit neighborhood, seems to really hard and slow wearing!.
