> 3 dayWe are collecting these SmartGames. We have this truck one, the Three Little Pigs one, the SpaceShip one, and the Red Riding Hood one so far. We are happy with all three, but the Trucky one engages our 4 year old the longest. With all the games, we first play it 2-4 times by the rules. We each take turns solving a puzzle. When its the adults turn, our 4 year old cant help but engage during that time also, and help. Then we make-believe it and just play however our little boy wants to make-believe with it, we follow his lead. We can see him study the shape of the truck, and fit the block shapes into it with increasing geometric problem-solving skills. These are all extremely well-made puzzle-type games. Each page in the little booklet gives you a problem to solve, and on the next page in the solution. Highly recommend for your stem-game collection.

> 3 dayOne of the best toys Ive ever purchased! We keep playing with them and weve owned them two years. The four-year old likes it best, but the 12 year-old plays with it too. Perfect for taking to brunch and for playing with while the kids wait for their pancakes.

> 3 dayJigsaw puzzles are great for kids, but what do you do when your child is ready to move on to something more that will challenge them once again? If you are reading this review, you know the answer. Castle Logix is probably the best puzzle/game that youve never heard of. So simple in concept and yet so thought provoking for your child. The 12 starter challenges use 3 of the 4 blocks, and all 3 of the towers. Your child stacks the blocks to match the picture in the book. 12 junior challenges add the 4th block into the mix. The 12 expert challenges involve balancing the blocks and towers in some way so that they dont fall rather than just stacking them. Finally, the 12 master challenges use the non-painted side of the blocks, forcing your older child to really tax their brain to match up the blocks. For my child, 3&1/2 was the perfect age to start with these. We start with the first challenge each time and build up to the stopping point every time we bring these out, adding a new challenge in the play-session if she is ready. Watching your kid work through and get closer and closer to the solution is just plain awesome. Even if/when they get stuck, you know they are actually exercising their brain because you can see the results as they manipulate the blocks. Castle Logix is durable, portable, enjoyable, doesnt take batteries and will actually help to teach your child how to think and use logic. You will be hard-pressed to find a better toy/gift for a kid in the 3-6 range.

04-06-2025Great toy. Great gift. We received one two years ago, and have given this as a present to others. Its a few simple pieces made of solid wood, and you must fit the pieces together to replicate the picture in the book that comes with it. The puzzles in the book progress from easy to hard. Kids of multiple ages will enjoy this, and most kids 4 and up should be able to do this on their own without needing constant help. When we first got it, my then 3 and 5-year olds could do it together. Adults like it, too.

Greater than one weekThis was a gift for a three year old..... I have not seen it used but I am told that it encouraged an older grandson to get a bigger set.
