First off I must state that Im not a climber. I intend to use these for my safety harness that I use for my deer stand. I tested these by hanging from my harness and they held my weight (225 lbs static) without an issue. They seem to be well made aluminum caribeener with a good fit and finsih. Its reassuring that they are EN and CE certified (see pic) for people that will use them in a serious capacity. They come well packaged and well documented by the manufacturer.

Im impressed with the quality of these carabineers. They are very strong. I ordered them to replace the cheap hooks that I was using to hang up my hammock, and these easily hold up to the job. The locking functionality is smooth and doesnt stick, and the hinge is strong. I would trust these to support my weight while climbing.

I am not a mountain climber and I have no plans to use these for that purpose. A good carbineer can be used for a variety of other purposes - some for safety and some for anything you might want to shackle. Keep in mind that these are large, well-made, heavy duty carbineers. I keep mine in my car, for unforeseen circumstances in which this device would be useful. They are well made and have a good locking system. They can even be used to hold a fishing rod in or a kite in place. I have read the positive comments in other reviews, and I agree with them.

I bought them just to hang stuff off my pack. They are a bit overkill for that, but will def do the job. Good to have in case I ever actually need to use them with rope. If you are just looking for an accessory type carabiner, this is more than you need.

Im not an avid climber, so maybe Im unfamiliar with the language used here -- but Im frustrated these are the twist several times to (un)lock not the quarter turn twist to (un)lock. I feel like the description implied these were the quick & easy quarter-turn rather than the screw-lock. Ill find a use for these, but Id find more uses if they were more convenient to open.

Large carabiner made of quality materials. These will provide good versatile use. The carabiner clip has good spring action for solid closure. The clip lock is easy to control with one hand / finger. These are good for hiking, camping, climbing, etc. They are going into my truck so theyll be there when I need them.

Probably not the intended use of this product, however we used it to hang a large mma punching bag. It has worked great so far.

I will never come close to testing the limit of these carabiners. They are large and plenty strong for anything I may use them for, which will not include rock climbing. One thing to note: the listing claims that these are twist-lock, and all but the D-shape star gray version do appear in the images to be just that. The D-shape star gray is actually a threaded lock, requiring the orange knurled section to be rotated a few full turns to lock or unlock the latch. They are NOT quick twistlock as described. I personally dont care about this, but some people might.
