I am using this wire for its intended purpose, to connect some low voltage equipment in my rural property house. As expensive as wire is, especially real copper these days, I always feel a little compelled to gauge down to save money, but that’s such a bad idea. This is nice thick 10AWG wire. It’s as stiff as you would expect 10AWG wire to be, but it runs fairly easily. Not much else I can say here. It’s solid. It crimps, connects and takes solder easily. It’s always amazing to me how 60’ looks long on paper and then when you go to use it, you never seem to have enough. It’s good for running various segments of a solar system. The listing says it is suitable for outdoor applications but mine is being run indoors. As such I can’t speak to how well it will survive in weather extremes and UV exposure. This is better than some of the CCS wire out there which has more resistance and isn’t as good but is often cheaper. Overall, I am happy with this.

TLDR; yes, Id buy this again when I need more I acquired this wire to use on some low-voltage rewiring projects on a boat. So far, I have used ~24 in various run lengths. The price per foot is a little less than I found locally and is an overall good price on Amazon. The specs on the wire match the description, and additional details from the manufacturer pulled from the jacket can be found online. Tinning on the conductors appears to be consistent and reasonably well coated. Insulations seem decent and are not abraded any more than other wires as I am pilling through fiberglass panels and wall grommets. The wire is somewhat stiff, but it pulled easily (no lube used) and did not kink.

Everyone who follows my posts, know that Im a prepper. I have done so many solar projects its ridiculous. This particular project was adding more panels to my solar array. I have used premade cables in the past but prefer bulk cabling. That way I can make my cables the exact length that I need so I do not end up with a sloppy looking system. These cables have worked flawlessly since I started with them. Theyve been attached for about 6 months and have seen sub degree temperatures, snow, rain, and even birds. So far they seem to be very durable and a very good value. Highly recommended!!

10AWG solid core tinned copper wire... Used in the installation of solar panels atop my pop-up camper to the control station. Did a great job.

This #10 Red/Black wire is nearly perfect for connecting up some remote mounted radio gear I have. The size is #10 and should handle up to 30 amps DC current which is above my actual need. If there is anything negative to say is that I was a little surprised the Red & Black are separate wires and not molded into a single Red/Back pair. This was not mentioned in the listing but, looking closer at the photos it is implied. That said, its still a great buy and will work perfect in my application.

This wire is Copper that’s been tinned to prevent corrosion. Be very careful shopping for lower priced wire that looks like copper, most of it is aluminum wire that’s copper plated. It’s dangerous to use this type of wire because it has too much resistance unless it’s as thick as your thumb. This wire is easy to work with and handles the load I need.

Just like it was advertised 60ft. of 10AWG wire. What I needed to finish a lighting project. Good price solid product couldnt ask for more.

Good cables for diy projects, not just for solar. I had some high wattage electric scooter motors that I needed to drive and from the 24v batteries so I used this cabling which may have been just a little more gauge than I needed but it worked great. 10/10 will buy more once I run out.

10 Gauge Solar Panel Wire(6mm²)

  • 78 strands 0.295 mm tinned copper wire are inside each 10 gauge cable., compared with aluminum materials, it has lower resistance and higher conductivity.
  • Large diameter (6mm) 10 AWG solar wire can minimize power loss in solar panel system, 6mm² thick enough to drive current and voltage (DC: 1.8KV; AC: 0.6-1KV).

  • Withstands temperatures as low as -40°F and as high as +194°F.
  • The photovoltaic wire sheath has a thick insulating layer, which is UV resistant, durable and has a long service life.
NO ALNO AL

NO AL

  • Solar Panel Wire is made of pure copper with tin coating, which provides good conductivity and the ability to resist oxidation.

  • Compared with aluminum materials, it has lower resistance and higher conductivity.
