> 3 dayI currently have 4 vintage stereo rigs throughout the house. All restored, modded and fine tweaked by me. I am used to, and fairly accepting of mediocre sound of todays offerings, so when you buy a 40 some bucks bluetooth speaker for a camping/roadtrip - you dont have high expectations, and thats ok. This time was different. This toilet roll sized apparatus is truly your stereo away from home. Very nice balance from bottom to top, right amount og bass that stays fast and tight without breaking up or muddying. The mid section is the best part - surprisingly lush and detailed and non fatiguing. Highs are slightly rolled off, but Id rather have that than shrill or overpowering. Battery seems very good, just turn off leds, which might also give you a bit more juice for peak draw at max volume. Again - for the size and price, it is a very impressive bluetooth speaker. The range is impressive but with one strange caveat. Inside my house I get no drop-outs even with two bedrooms separting streaming device to speaker, approx 25 ft. Strangely, range seems not to be much longer when in line of sight, 30-35 ft before drop outs. TIP: The two speaker units and bass reflex ports are located 90 degrees to the axis running from the soundcore logo to the rubber hinge - If placing the unit in a corner of a room, then you can boost the loudness a tad by making sure the power button if facing into the corner - a couple of inches away. This makes the speaker units bounce off the walls for a bigger sound.

Greater than one weekI had bought one of these and the sound was pretty good. Then I read how you could get a second one and pair them together with one device. What a difference! I can place them all over the room for some really quality sound. I use them outside and again the sound is great. The lighting is also fun for parties outside. I do wish though that it could be controlled through the app much like the flare plus. I have an older iPod playing music and I can controller sound through the eq. Would have been better to control the sound through the Soundcore app.

Greater than one weekAnker products are typically quality items and this is among them. Sound is crisp and the colors are bright when connected. This is great at the pool, barbequing, or just need another sound device in the house. Bluetooth connecting was simple.

> 3 dayThis is a nice, well built speaker. The audio quality is what you should expect from a budget product. Its pretty good, but not great. Best setting is going to be on your desk, or workstation. 2-10 feet range. Beyond that it is certainly audible, but it needs to be nearby to get reasonable results Better at reproducing music with a lot of space By that I mean jazz, R&B, or easy listening. Hard rock like a Foo Fighters wall of guitars sound is going to be a bit garbled. Cleaner sounds like Gladys Nights midnight train to Georgia for example sounds good to my ears. Again, not nearly as busy with overdriven harshness. Dont get me wrong, I love hard rock, but this device isnt capable of reproducing it well IMO. Also, as with any speaker, it matters a lot where you place it. This one picks up a fair amount fullness and low end, if placed on a natural wood surface. The wood becomes a resonator, like an acoustic guitar top does. Mine also drops the bluetooth occasionally, even though my source is very close to it. Not sure whats up with that. Have not and probably wont test the waterproof qualities. Cant say on that one. Nor the lights. Only turned on once for grins. The bass boost button has very very little effect, nor does the equalizer on the app. Still, I recommend this speaker, if you understand its limitations. If you want a room full of clear bassy rock, gonna have to spend a lot more money Cheers~~

> 3 dayGreat price, sound quality was very happy until they quit working as they should. After numerous resets and back forth with Soundcore help techs speakers just won’t act as a pair anymore. I have the big Flare+ speakers to, same issue. Eventually they just say we’ve done all we can for you…right. I’m going to throw these away and find speakers that work.

Greater than one weekThe speaker works as advertised, and it seems to be built well, but the sound is noticeably worse than the JBL I have, so Ive mostly stopped using the Soundcore speaker. Music sounds hollow and spoken voices in podcasts are noisier than they should be.

> 3 dayI have a couple of big name wireless speakers that I dont think sound as good as this little speaker. I just got it today, but Im really impressed so far. Small, lightweight, battery seems good so far and it sounds great.

> 3 dayA little disappointed after reading all the glowing reviews. I bought this speaker for $30 on a lightning deal. Anyway I bought this with expectation for a small travel speaker to replace my 5 year old Boombotix Boombot pro which has a tired battery. The speaker is about the size of a soda can. It sounds only slightly fuller and louder than the Boombot which is about half the size of the flare mini. I also compared it MI Bluetooth speaker, and my Earfun Uboom. The Earfun is about 20% larger but blows the Flare Mini out of water with both bass and clarity. The much smaller Mi cant produce nearly the volume of the flare but has a much more natural sound. The problem with Flare Mini is it just has no life to the sound. The high end is so rolled off that it everything sounds a little dead and muffled. Still its a convenient speaker for a shower or hotel room, I may return it in favor of the Tribit Xsound Go which gives up TWS and 360 sound but is truly amazing for its size. Also considering sucking it up and picking up the tiny and amazing for its size Bose Soundlink Pro.
