way better than a spoon or anything else not designed for this task.

I was looking for a longer lasting then the inexpensive bamboo barrens which I do prefer but this fits the bill. I have had no problem using this. Is it equal to a Premium Hon Baren which start at $1200 or a $300 Ball Bearing Barren I dont know.

This is a very flimsy baren. The plastic covering is super cheap and light weight. It stains very easily even from water based ink.

I have been printing and hand-burnishing since forever and when I came across this item, i thought Id give it a try. It did not fail me. much easier to use then wooden barens or wooden spoons - trust me Ive used all sorts of them . The underbed cushion helps transfer the impression with precision and details. Ill get more of this for personal stock.
