> 24 hourI recently had to use one of these to removing a sliver of metal that made a home in my finger. The point on the end is extremely sharp and does its job well, MUCH better and more precise than the old safety pin and squeeze method. I havent had a chance to use on any material other than metal but I feel confident these work wonders on wood splinters also.

> 24 hourThis works great. I bought the 5 pack thinking well I am not going to order just one since I have to throw it away after use. Keep in mind each of these cases hold 20 of the splinter outs. I missed this so my 5 pack order is 100 of them. Well I dont get that many slivers but hey, I will keep a kit in the camper, one in the house. Gave my parents and in-laws one each and gave one to a co-worker who does a lot of outdoor activities. I had a thorn that was driven almost straight into the pad of my index finger. I couldnt pull it out and it would just keep working in deeper and deeper since it wasnt at much of an angle. After being in there for almost 2 weeks I was fed up and ordered this. I first used it to open up the area a bit and tried the needle point tweezers again. Still couldnt grab it. So I went back to the Splinter Out and was able to pop it out with little to no pain. Very impressed.

> 24 hourI got a splinter in my finger one day at work that went deeper each time I attempted to pull it out. My manager knew we kept Splinter Outs in our first-aid cabinet. Id never heard of them. We got the package open and the splinter out within 20 seconds. That sold me and I went looking for them. Bought them here, five packages of 20 each, for less than $6--a great price for what Ive decided is a must-have-on-hand first-aid item. Each set of 20 comes in a small (~1x2) hard-plastic container that can easily fit in a coin purse, makeup bag, wherever you need to keep them on hand. Best of all, they are ready to use. No more having to hunt up a needle or pin and pouring alcohol over it to try to scoop out the splinter. Splinter Outs are already scoop shaped with a small fine point and sterile. Totally recommend the product and the set like I purchased here.

> 24 hourKeep these in every first aid kit. Add to baby gifts! My three yr olds splinter came out so much easier with these!… and it’s sterile!… not a needle burned with a match and soaked in alcohol. Lolzzz

> 24 hourI have a family friend who does a lot of construction and home projects and constantly gets slivers. I thought this would be a fun gag gift. About two hours after I gave it to him and described how to use them I got a call from him. He got a sliver and tried all his usual methods of removal with no success. Then he remembered these that were sitting in his truck. It came out just as described. He was so pleased! My order came with three little containers of these, so I gave one to my husband for his shop and kept one for the family first aid kit. Four days later I got a splinter and used one and was amazed at how great it worked. I work in the medical field and have a supply of fine gauge syringe needles that I usually use for splinter removal, but will never use them again for that. I love these little things and will definitely order more.

> 24 hourThese splinter removers are great for at home and the shop at work. They are nice to hand out to employees as a quick sterile aid in removing wood, plastic, glass and steel splinters.
