SpringTools 32R12-1 1/32 to 2/32-Inch Combination Nail Set

I dont care for standard punches after using this rascal. These things are great. I did wear one out after 6-8 months of heavy use. The spring deformed then ended up breaking. Im being gentler with my new one ... not pulling it back as far as I did my 1st one ... requires more taps to sink a nail but Im hoping the less stress will make it last longer. When/if this one breaks I will most likely purchase another. I wonder how much trouble it would be to get the manufacturer to honor the lifetime warranty. Im guessing they would claim a broken one was abused or not honor the warranty because of normal wear and tear or some such. Any of yall have experience with a warranty claim on these?

I put all new baseboards in my home during the summer and when using a nail gun sometimes you will need a nail set becuase at times the nails are proud of the surface. I tried this new spring tool and I love it. It saves a lot of time. I do recommend you using leather gloves so you do not pinch the skin on your hand.

Greatest invention since the airless sprayer for a painter. Sinking in nails on trim is so easy with this tool. Its easier to use then a hammer and pin, and easier to carry! Glad I bought multiple.

This little gizmo is a great tool. I got really tired and frustrated with using a nail set and a hammer to bang in nails that dont go below the surface of wood moldings ( even with a nail gun). A nail set works, but often slips and makes the resulting hole much bigger and requires filling. This tool fits right over the head of 18 gauge brad nails and bangs them in.....every time. And a bonus. I like to dimple metal that has to be drilled so the bit gets some bite. Id been using decking screws to create the dimple. Oner bang from the other end of this tool and youre good to go. Highly recommend

I’m a firefighter and used them twice. The first time I had no issues but I noticed afterwards the spring was slack, thus rendering it pretty much useless. The second time it took forever to get the window to break. I guess I was hoping it would be more resilient.

So easy to use and does what it says! I was able to push the many brad nails sticking out from my closet and hardwood floors in no time. A recommendation is to wear earmuffs when using this as the banging noise can get quite loud! So happy with this purchase!

I am a finish carpenter and I have used a a lot of tools, but this nailset is by far my favorite tool ever. As part of my job I install a lot of baseboard, crown, etc, using really hard woods. Most of the time the nail gun will set the nails, but every once in a while I will get a nail that doesnt sink all the way. The reason I love the SpringTools nail set is that it allows me to do all of my work without having to carry a hammer. The Spring nail set doesnt just work as well as a typical hammer and nailset, I have found that it works better. I can more accurately place the spring nailset without having to worry about it slipping off of the nail and putting a hole in the wood. Because of the spring, I fill like I am getting a stronger hit then a hammer can provide, without any added shock. The spring has the same affect as a deadblow. I have been using the same one for years, and it only has a small chip in the metal.

The best tool Ive ever purchased for the money. Does exactly what it advertises and does it well. I used it to fix several protruding nails I had during a wainscoting project and Im amazed how well it works. Drives the nail perfectly and leaves a small cavity which can be easily filled spackle and sanded. Im very glad I found this product and would highly recommend for anyone that uses pneumatic air guns for nailing.
