> 24 hourThis was perfect for my needs. This was for a small network closet space, and this makes it *MUCH* easier to get in and out of that space for any maintenance. I got two of them, and just screwed them into the studs and voila! Hung the patch panel on one, and the switch on the other. Not they dont protrude into the closet, but hang on the wall flush.

> 24 hourMost people will not use this as a wall mount. You will more likely use it as a mount on top or underneath of a flat surface (e.g. inside a cabinet). As a wall mount, your gear will be facing up and hanging downward, FYI.

> 24 hourThe vertical designer takes up less space then most U shaped 1U bracket that stick out fropm the wall at least 6. This model like my other StatTech products are perfect.

> 24 hourI needed to mount a 1U appliance on a Plywood Wall. This was exactly what I needed. It was easy to use and it looks great. Thank you!

> 24 hourThis is 6U. There are lots of 5U and smaller units. Because it has a fixed width it is very fast to install properly on a blue board or 3/4 inch plywood backing. However, this means you cant fudge the width slightly like you can with other products. Cisco switches with their rack ears installed often only just fit, but I have always been able to get them in.
