Steel Wool, 12 pad, Medium Grade #1, Rhodes American, Household Steel Wool

This is a super fine steel wool and is great for polishing and buffing metal. Pictured is one of my embalming tools (yes, I am a mortician) that was pitted and covered in rust, and it polished up beautifully with a medium grit sandpaper followed by a thorough polishing with this 0000 steel wool. I have also used it on several of my firearms that had some slight rust issues, and it took care of the problem with ease. A word of caution however, do not use this product without gloves or you will regret it. The one time I did, I ended up with fine slivers of steel embedded in my fingertips. Also, make sure to thoroughly clean whatever you use it on to remove the steel wool particles that will be left behind. Overall, great product and I will be buying it again.

Used this to clean hard water marks on the windows of my car based on a recommendation and it worked really well to clean the stain off without damaging or scratching the glass. I used it with invishield if anybody wanted to know.

We live in an apartment complex owned by a very bad management company. We started getting mice after a flood that required a few large 1ft x 1ft holes to be made in the walls. They never repaired the walls & we started to see mice. Im using this wire wool to plug up the smaller holes where I know for sure the mice are coming in & so far its been working incredibly well. They cant chew this stuff so bit by bit Im blocking their entryways. I havent used this specific item for any other kinds of projects but Im familiar enough with wire wool to know it works well on many surfaces as a cleaner. I didnt get any splinters from this either while plugging holes, so thats a bonus!

I cut them so that I only use what I need. I also put what I have used in a snack sized baggie then toss it into my freezer until I am ready t o use it again, keeps it from rusting.

Works as described

There are many different uses for this product, however, I bought this solely to use for Leather Luster to shine my boots. Just scrubbing a leather surface like those boots caused the wool to break into small pieces. This is my first time using steel wool in my adulthood so Im not sure if this is a characteristic of all the steel wools, but this is a very fine type of steel wool that breaks off more than Im sure I remember its supposed to. However, the pieces arent so small that you cant wipe or brush them off gently with a soft brush or towel.

Had some overspray on some car windows. Works great!! Order and pickup at mailbox!! Easy as that!!

That’s right. Get this 0000 steel wool and gently rid it on your tarnished chrome. Looks brand new in seconds with zero scratches.

Used to dissolve in vinegar, in order to age wood for a Halloween prop. helped a lot in the aging process for the prop.
