Step2 540200 MailMaster Plus Mailbox, Spruce

Easy to install IF you already have a post dug. It is a very roomy mailbox. Seems very weatherproof.

This is the second one of these I purchased. The first was almost 15 years old and would have still been up had it not gotten hit by a passing car. I would recommend this if you want a maintenance free, long lasting mailbox.

A really nice mailbox. Installation was easy and took maybe 30 minutes over the post from the previous mailbox. Very pleased.

Installation ease depends on the type of soil you are trying to dig 2 feet deep into. For me, it was clay and gravel used as a base under the curb and gutter. In other words, it was awful. The post (Not included) is not cheap with lumber prices these days. Otherwise, the mailbox is waterproof and stays closed during very gusty winds.

I bought the same one 23 years later for the same price. I hope it lasts even half the time - the best mailbox around. Highly recommend - came with everything except the wood post and metal rod..

Good boxes with complete hardware sturdy enough to withstand careless snowplow drivers a couple years. Door magnets hold better than same model in previous years. Ordered 2 but they are slightly different shade of green, barely noticeable.

We are so happy with our mailbox. We live at the end of a blind curve. Our previous mailbox was hit and destroyed. Last week someone hit our Step2 540200 MailMaster Plus Mailbox with their car. We were amazed to see how well it survived. Just a few scuffs and a broken red flag. The car, however, lost its side mirror. We highly recommend this fantastic, durable product! We also contacted Step2 for a new red flag for our mailbox, they sent it out within days, no questions asked. Great customer service Step2!
