> 24 hourIm a volunteer firefighter in a brigade in the NSW Rural Fire Service, Australia and we have purchased 16 of these to replace our current Pelican Sabrelights. The difference between those and these is night and day, especially when used on our CABA sets. The brightness of these is fantastic and they appear to be built tough to take the knocks and bumps of operational use, with long battery life. The fact that they take AA batteries makes them a simple change in the field. I would highly recommend them to any firefighter. Two members of our brigade are full time firefighters with Fire & Rescue NSW and they have purchased them for their full time use and their colleagues are amazed so much so that they are now purchasing them. Edit 16 Sept 2013, unfortunately after purchasing 31 of these flashlights, we have experienced a high failure rate where the light will not come on sometimes. Of the 31 units purchased, 7 have failed in this way, mostly in emergency situations such as where we were using two to provide illumination for a persons trapped extraction. It would seem to be linked to the internal battery case as swapping cases solved the problem. I and my brigade are less than happy and have lost confidence in the ability of these units to provide consistent and reliable light, such that we are considering removing them from our CABA sets. I will get in touch with Amazon to see if they have anything to add.

> 24 hourMy son is a firefighter and I got this for him. He says it works perfectly. One thing is you need to purchase the charger separately.

> 24 hourGreat price for the product. WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED that my Prime membership and this Prime item was not shipped 2-day. It was shipped ground and it took over twice as long to get to me.

> 24 hourThis flashlight has a powerful beam. But it is powered by 4 - AA cells, with short burn time. I have a 1W LED flashlight with 3 - C cells which is almost as bright, but more compact, and with triple the burn time. And mine has an adjustable beam. For a high power, short burn light, a police type tactical lithium flashlight makes more sense.

> 24 hourHonestly not much more to be said, have brought this buddy with me on several offensive actions on an interior fire and it holds its own.

> 24 hourI bought this flashlight because the light my fire department issues will reflect off smoke, creating a situation where it is impossible to see 2 inches (literally). This light does just the opposite. It is capable of cutting through the smoke and allowing for better visibility in hazardous situations. the flash mode would be helpful in a mayday situation, and the low power level light is good for the normal flashlight stuff. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourBought this on recommendations from others at the station. Worth the money Good long distance strong straight beam . Would recommend to any other firefighter out there. Have recently purchased another 10 and placed an order for 10 more for the rest of our volunteer members. Both staff and volunteers highly recommend them.
