I have bought 2 of these flashlights now, one in Orange and the other in Yellow. Both color match the pictures on the website, I prefer the Orange color just because it seems to stand out from the normal flashlight color. Mainly use these as a household flashlight even though they are used in Emergency services. These are durable and have a fantastic flood type light. Best part is how it can stand on end when you dont have a hand to hold it, just set it on the ground and it will light up the whole area you are working on. Battery life is great due to the LED bulb, feel like you can run these over with a semi, quality durable plastic. They have 3 levels of lighting. low, high, and blinking. If you hold down the rubber power button through the low and high stages, the light will blink which is great if you are trying to signal someone or something. Price is a bit high, but it is well worth it in my opinion.

I probably should have read the product description more closely, but I was upgrading from my 10 year-old light & thought I knew better. The Streamlight 90542 Survivor LED Flashlight Alkaline Battery Pack is actually included with the light (along with Energizer batteries!), so you do not need to purchase it separately. Perhaps if you are with a very busy company and want one preloaded for quick changes, but for everybody else, it is unnecessary. Regular AA batteries should last 4-8 hours, according to the product insert, so I think I made a good choice in this light over a rechargeable. The light itself is incredibly bright and has multiple settings. The Strobe function isnt really a quick-pulse strobe like smaller tactical flashlights, but will be useful for both Maydays & for an extra level of visibility when operating on the highway.

This is clearly a light built for emergency personnel and firefighters but it also makes an excellent spot light for walks in the woods or property line walks. Since the reflector cone is so deep the beam is ultra-focused and throws very far, very clearly. This works great to cut through the first few lines of trees to spot eye shine or in foggy, nasty weather. The clip on this is wonderful but also wide. It will not fit standard MOLLE webbing as it is about 1.5 inches wide. It does fit perfectly in a pocket or on a sternum strap and holds very strongly. Be aware this uses AAs but they are put in a carrier system so there are added dimensions. It is roughly the size of a 20oz soda bottle shaped into an oval so be aware. Very durable, very water resistant and a great thrower.

BRIGHT. I can shine things a few hundred yards away in the pitch dark. Solid construction, watertight battery compartment. Really water tight, almost a pain to open, but thats what you want. Moonlight and strobe settings are great extras too

Super bright and built like a tank. Long battery life. No complaints.

Just received this in the mail today and Im amazed by the amount of light it puts out. I has four modes, hi-power, low, flash and moon light which is good for reading in a tent or something similar. It is certified by MSHA for Methane-Air mixtures only & only with alkaline batteries. Looking forward to putting in my turn-outs and putting it to the test. I know the rest of the department will want the chief to replace their pelican lights with this bad boy!

The lens cap broke off on scene at the second call I used this on. I wasnt able to find it again and now I have to get a replacement lens cap. Next time Ill secure it with Loctite or something, but wow it is frustrating to have something that is supposed to be reliable break right as soon as it was put into use.
