Thought i should give my experience on this. Went camping the other day went to fire up my water heater and it would ignite flame would fire up and after about 5 seconds would shut off. The electric spade had broken off my old electrode. This is an ignitor and flame detector. Old electeode was not detecting flame. Very easy fix 1 screw and hook electric wire back on be careful not to break spade off. 5 minute fix. Hope this helps someone else. Up and running again!

Our water heater on our camper decided it didn’t want to work after the winter season. We are currently trying to trouble shoot and fix the problem. This was our starting point. The water heater clicks like it wants to start up, however it won’t ignite. This part did not fix the problem, however it was a very easy swap if you do need to replace yours. Next we are on to trying out the control board.

The same part needed, good quality and next day delivery. RV 10 gallon hot water heater would light and then shut back off. I thought it was the board until I unplugged the electrode and it started to light again. This part is a fraction of the cost of the board and can be replaced in 5 minutes. It saved me from having to pull the hot water heater out to get to the board. Great purchase and worth a try for the money even if it didnt work, but it fixed my problem.
