If you like to hang items on your wall then this is a good tool to have. Just decide where you want the item and this will mark the nail or screw holes for you. Using a level and straight edge if you need two or more is great for getting a perfect level hang each and every time. This punch will easily leave you a mark on wood or sheet rock without pushing it until it pops because of the sharp point, but for a larger mark push till it pops. The pressure for the spring loaded tip is adjustable, just loosen the cap for less pressure. These punches also come with two extra tips. You may want to keep one in the glove box for a possible aid in breaking a window if ever needed, because they work off the same principle as the glass breakers you see advertised. My picture shows me trying one on my old teak cutting board, the really small is just the pressure of the point and the slightly larger are pushing with enough pressure until it pops.

Nicely made and it punches well. Comes with 2 extra punch replacements. Me Gusta.

Ive been in the market for a punch like this for a while. This is a nice set with spare points for replacement after they get dull and are easy to replace. It takes a few strokes to make a decent dimple in steel, but makes a nice dimple in wood.

Im very happy with these center punches. The adjustable springs make them easy to indent metal or wood. My old punch was really dull so these really make a difference. They come two to a set and there are also 2 extra needles. A real good value.

Heavier than I thought they would be which is a good thing. Spring works well and left a decent center score on aluminum. A dozen scores and the tip shows no sign of wear or bending. The extra tips an extra if I do not lose them in the tool box. As a side note these will also work well as an emergency side glass widow breaker in your car ( old fire rescue tip).

Both of the units that I got had a good action and a crisp snap when used. The points are sharp, and while not the best finish overall, they are sharp, concentric and smooth where it matters. I used them on mild steel and alumimum and they created nice center punches with a clean center and no visible wear on the point. They also supplied a pair of extra points.

Nice cheap set of center punches. Makes a great addition to the tool bag.

These were a lot heavier than I expected. It’s well built and works great! Using light pressure you line up where you want and push. If you need to really indent use a hammer. The inner workings are sturdy and take whacks with out issue. Makes punch marks on anything with little effort.

Well made and makes a good impression on the metal to grab a drill bit. Works well.

As an avid DIYer, I’m always on the lookout for tools that will help me get things done more efficiently. I have center punch tools, but they are not spring loaded and require a blow from a hammer to make the marks need to start a hole. That’s not so convenient when trying to mark something at a weird angle. These automatic center punches can be used with one hand and makes a nice visible mark on most soft surfaces, like wood or sheetrock. I have also tried them on harder surfaces like bricks and mortar, but it does take more than one try. One of the punches did not work properly in that the automatic spring action didn’t activate after using it once. I ended up disassembling the unit and putting it back together, and did not have the same issue again. I think something must have been misaligned at the factory. The punches also comes with 2 replacement tips, but the tips seem hard enough to be used hundreds of times without wear. Overall, this is a great tool to have in anyone’s toolbox. It makes drilling holes so much easier, you won’t want to be without it. And at the asking price, it is a very good buy.
