> 24 hourThese center punches are spring loaded and therefore can be used with one hand when making an accurate center punch. I tested the punch on hardwood, aluminum, and hardened steel and it worked perfectly on all three materials (in the attached photo the hardened steel is on the left and the aluminum is on the right). They are well made and the knurled barrel make them easy to hold and use. An aspect of the center punch that I really like is the ability to accurately make the center mark. This can be accomplished by bringing in the center punch point at about a forty-five-degree angle to your mark, rotating the punch so that’s it’s vertical to your material, and then simply pushing down on the punch. Perfectly place center punch to start your drill. Two punches with two spare tips are a great value. Wish I would have had these years ago. I recommend the SuooTci Automatic Center Punch.

> 24 hourAs an avid DIYer, I’m always on the lookout for tools that will help me get things done more efficiently. I have center punch tools, but they are not spring loaded and require a blow from a hammer to make the marks need to start a hole. That’s not so convenient when trying to mark something at a weird angle. These automatic center punches can be used with one hand and makes a nice visible mark on most soft surfaces, like wood or sheetrock. I have also tried them on harder surfaces like bricks and mortar, but it does take more than one try. One of the punches did not work properly in that the automatic spring action didn’t activate after using it once. I ended up disassembling the unit and putting it back together, and did not have the same issue again. I think something must have been misaligned at the factory. The punches also comes with 2 replacement tips, but the tips seem hard enough to be used hundreds of times without wear. Overall, this is a great tool to have in anyone’s toolbox. It makes drilling holes so much easier, you won’t want to be without it. And at the asking price, it is a very good buy.

> 24 hourThese center punches are exactly as they show in the listing and come with 2 replacement tips in case they break or dent. They do work just find as you would expect but Im not sure how many times they will last. I used some cheap ones before that worked amazingly for about 4 times before it broke internally and never worked again. Hopefully these dont turn out that way. Overall, good working center punches that will hopefully last a while.

> 24 hourIm very happy with these center punches. The adjustable springs make them easy to indent metal or wood. My old punch was really dull so these really make a difference. They come two to a set and there are also 2 extra needles. A real good value.

> 24 hourThis is one of those tools you wont use often, but when you have a need for a center punch, its just the thing. The tools are well made, and two spare tips are included. There are no instructions, but its easy to figure out. Just line up the punch where you want it to penetrate, and then push down. The spring action cocks and then plunges the point down. The effects are subtle. In other words, dont expect to punch through without multiple tries. This tool is more for marking rather than punching through. The photo shows three holes punched in drywall and plywood. The middle hole shows where I punched the tool 12 times, and it still didnt penetrate the drywall. On the plywood, the middle shows shows 6 times, and it doesnt look a whole lot different from the other two holes. This tool definitely beats using a traditional nail setter or center punch and hammer, but dont expect it to penetrate without a lot of attempts.

> 24 hourThese are slim enough to easily center on your mark and push down on the tool to snap your punch mark. No more having the punch skate away when you hit it with a hammer. If you want a bigger mark just put your regular punch in the mark and hit with a hammer. Do not hit these punches with a hammer. At this price there is no reason to not have these in your tool box. It would have saved me a lot of time over the years to have these.

> 24 hourIf you like to hang items on your wall then this is a good tool to have. Just decide where you want the item and this will mark the nail or screw holes for you. Using a level and straight edge if you need two or more is great for getting a perfect level hang each and every time. This punch will easily leave you a mark on wood or sheet rock without pushing it until it pops because of the sharp point, but for a larger mark push till it pops. The pressure for the spring loaded tip is adjustable, just loosen the cap for less pressure. These punches also come with two extra tips. You may want to keep one in the glove box for a possible aid in breaking a window if ever needed, because they work off the same principle as the glass breakers you see advertised. My picture shows me trying one on my old teak cutting board, the really small is just the pressure of the point and the slightly larger are pushing with enough pressure until it pops.
