> 24 hourHeavier than I thought they would be which is a good thing. Spring works well and left a decent center score on aluminum. A dozen scores and the tip shows no sign of wear or bending. The extra tips an extra if I do not lose them in the tool box. As a side note these will also work well as an emergency side glass widow breaker in your car ( old fire rescue tip).

> 24 hourIm very happy with these center punches. The adjustable springs make them easy to indent metal or wood. My old punch was really dull so these really make a difference. They come two to a set and there are also 2 extra needles. A real good value.

> 24 hourI keep one of these on my workbench and one in my tool belt. I use it many for wood not metal but I can certainly see how helpful it would be for metal. Nothing like starting a hole with a bit on metal and seeing the bit scoot all over your work piece. With wood it makes a nice little divot to start a screw in or drill a hole.

> 24 hourAs an avid DIYer, I’m always on the lookout for tools that will help me get things done more efficiently. I have center punch tools, but they are not spring loaded and require a blow from a hammer to make the marks need to start a hole. That’s not so convenient when trying to mark something at a weird angle. These automatic center punches can be used with one hand and makes a nice visible mark on most soft surfaces, like wood or sheetrock. I have also tried them on harder surfaces like bricks and mortar, but it does take more than one try. One of the punches did not work properly in that the automatic spring action didn’t activate after using it once. I ended up disassembling the unit and putting it back together, and did not have the same issue again. I think something must have been misaligned at the factory. The punches also comes with 2 replacement tips, but the tips seem hard enough to be used hundreds of times without wear. Overall, this is a great tool to have in anyone’s toolbox. It makes drilling holes so much easier, you won’t want to be without it. And at the asking price, it is a very good buy.

> 24 hourIve been in the market for a punch like this for a while. This is a nice set with spare points for replacement after they get dull and are easy to replace. It takes a few strokes to make a decent dimple in steel, but makes a nice dimple in wood.

> 24 hourThese have so far worked really well for marking screw holes in wood and drywall. I tested its claims for metal on a piece of aluminum, and they both left a good, clear punch hole. These are made of nice stainless steel, which should give me a lot of use out of them. They are a great product, and priced really well, too.

> 24 hourThese center punches are spring loaded and therefore can be used with one hand when making an accurate center punch. I tested the punch on hardwood, aluminum, and hardened steel and it worked perfectly on all three materials (in the attached photo the hardened steel is on the left and the aluminum is on the right). They are well made and the knurled barrel make them easy to hold and use. An aspect of the center punch that I really like is the ability to accurately make the center mark. This can be accomplished by bringing in the center punch point at about a forty-five-degree angle to your mark, rotating the punch so that’s it’s vertical to your material, and then simply pushing down on the punch. Perfectly place center punch to start your drill. Two punches with two spare tips are a great value. Wish I would have had these years ago. I recommend the SuooTci Automatic Center Punch.

> 24 hourThese were a lot heavier than I expected. It’s well built and works great! Using light pressure you line up where you want and push. If you need to really indent use a hammer. The inner workings are sturdy and take whacks with out issue. Makes punch marks on anything with little effort.
