Initially I was hesitant of buying a fighting game with a large competitive scene that has been going for years (so eveyone knows the basics). The game is quite simple to start and the story mode really shines to guide you through combat. There isnt really a tutorial but viewing the controls and heading to training mode to try out all the buttons makes figuring everything out fairly simple. You start out as Kirby and slowly unlock more and more characters as you play so you dont end up overwhelmed. I advise checking out the story and spirit board first so you can get a grasp of what your doing and unlock new characters and helping hands to advance your abilities or just make everything a little easier without pandering. It can be easy to loose your character in the more flashy screen animations but it becomes less of an issue with time. Perfect party game really dispite its more intimidating aspects.
