Greater than one weekThe picture hanging wire is perfect for my 87 year old mother to handle/bend when preparing art work to be hung on the wall, and yet extremely sturdy.

> 3 dayI got this stuff not thinking it would be strong enough. Maybe not soft enough. I grew up using this ridiculously hard cord and when you bend it the wrong way, you end up with a bajillion needles going through your fingertips that youll feel for the next 2 years. This stuff though. Is amazing. Covered in a hardy plastic layer, the metal is perfectly sufficient. I hang all my stuff from my picture molding in my 30s house (thisold30shouse.wordpress.com, Ill be doing a post on how to hang from picture molding) which includes mirrors, big pictures, calligraphy, and other things. This stuff is perfectly strong to hold anything and just a dream to work with. Tying off your eye loops is the exact same, but instead of wrapping it around itself 4 times, I do 8. Get this stuff, you wont regret it!!

Greater than one weekWorked great! Had to look up how to tie the knots (the photos on the front of the product were only slightly insufficient), but thats probably more user error than anything else... :)

> 3 dayI’ve been using this coated wire, for a couple of years, on the back of all of my oil paintings, large and small. The larger ones (20”x20” and larger) get the #5 wire. My smaller paintings (12” x 12” and smaller) get the thinner #4 wire.

> 3 dayIf you find yourself doing your own framing or have a need to frame and hang a large number of pictures, get this wire. It is plastic coated. When used with the recommended tie and wrap method, this framing wire makes for a very professional looking job that is durable and so easy on your fingers. You can find several YouTube videos on the proper wiring method to hang a painting. That method seems to be made for this Softstrand wire. If you are an artist and doing your own framing, your customers will appreciate the quality this wire adds to your work when presented for framing. Softstrand comes in different gauges suitable for a wide range of sized paintings. It is the only wire I will use

Greater than one weekExcellent product! I wish I would have discovered it years ago. So easy to manipulate without any specific tools or stray wires to poke you. Very happy to have found it.
