Susan Bates 5-1/2-Inch Bamboo Handle Silvalume Head Crochet Hook, 9mm, Blue

I bought one of these from another store only because it was the last one left in this size and I needed it right away. As I suspected, the handle is a huge pain. A quite literal pain. I completed my project with it, but I am exceedingly sore because of working with this hook.

I really enjoy the feel of these hooks - I ordered two other sizes as well and have the complete set of smaller sizes. The bamboo handles make it easy on my hands and I seem to get less hand fatigue while using them. For me, the Susan Bates hooks are my primary choice to use for my crochet projects. While I own a compete set of the Boye hooks too, I still seem to reach for the Bates hooks first.

Just what I needed

I am not use to this type of hook so took a bit of time to adjust. By the end of my project, I loved the hook and purchased another in a different size.

Just as described and pictured , I can crochet longer with less pain . RA prevents me from crocheting at times but these hooks are great for ppl with arthritis.

There was a whole at the top of the package that fits the entire crochet hook clearly a used product... I like to get a new product if thats whats advertised and thats what I paid for!!!
