> 3 dayI have been using this backpack for almost a year now and I am really happy with the purchase. Swiss Gear makes great backpacks and is well worth spending the extra money to have a durable backpack that will last you for a very long time. I can manage to fit a lot of things in it without any issue for school or when I am going out on a trip. There is a lot of space and can put an extra laptop or device in it. There are plenty of compartments to it.

> 3 dayMy teenage son has used this backpack for a year. It still looks brand new even with filling it up everyday with school books (does not have lockers at his school). When I say fill up with books, I don’t mean a couple books. I’m talking he can’t put anything else in it because it is filled up (7 different classes with 2 English books). The seams are all still intact with no signs of stress.

> 3 dayI have held of putting in this review for almost a year so I was sure what I was talking about. I have used this as a every day bag and for hiking, mountain bike riding, off road motoro bike riding, camping and work trips away with laptops etc. I purchased this bag based on several key features, 1. side mesh pockets for keys (Im lucky I live in a town with little crime so not worried about security), 2. large side zip pockets for water bottles or laptop chargers etc, 3. front lower pocket with organiser for pens, eye drops, wallet, meds and the like. Not quit as good as previous bags with the actual pockets, but still pretty good, have found it is more a free for all type pocket 4. top front pocket is good for sun glasses (wrapped in own soft protection bag) 5. Main compartment good for most things. down side is it has two sleeves for keeping books organised, but I find it gets in the way when storing pretty much anything in the compartment, Im tempted to cut them out 6. Two laptop / document storage compartments against the back of the pack, good for 15 HP laptop and also useful for any books etc General comments 1. The top handle flops down meaning it seriously gets in the way when putting anything in the main compartment, I fixed this by zip tieing it to one of the straps at the top of the shoulder straps in a upright position, works well. 2. The shoulder straps sit well on my shoulder and do not clash with my arms when walking 3. It is not the lightest bag but this means it stands up pretty much by itself when it put in on the floor as opposed to falling over like a lighter bag (personal hate of mine) 4. I have used it for some long off road motor bike rides with out problem, nothing even looks like it will fail 5. its not the biggest bag, but that stops me from carring to much, I can get enought in it for a over night work trip away with a bit of carful packing 6. I like the styling, not your average bag 7. Zips are great and take a lot of abuse Summary It took me a long time to find this bag as shopping on line is not the same as in store, I live in town with no bag stores. My research was worth it as I would buy this bag again if it still made and if there was nothing else newer that was better. However I suspect that will be five or more years away as it is very well made.

> 3 dayIve used many computer bags in my 20+ years as an engineer that travels to customers, business partners, standards bodies, testing labs, etc. This is the first bag that I would consider to be truly well thought-out. I have owned the bag for about 3 months and I am still discovering the usefulness of little features of this bag as I come across the need for them. The ONLY thing that I would change on this bag would be to add a tight but strong horizontal strip of fabric on the strap-side of the bag so that I can slip the handle of my roller luggage through and keep the backpack anchored to the extended handle of my roller luggage. I have a connector and detachable strap of the roller luggage. I can link the strap through the handle of this backpack but then the backpack straps drag in the snow/slush/puddles in airport parking lots. I see this as a minor drawback and nowhere near enough of a reason to choose a different backpack. Perhaps SwissGear might add this feature to the next version?

> 3 dayThis backpack is awesome! I bought this over 4 years ago to take to college and its still going strong! I havent had anything break on this, and I have loaded this up with multiple textbooks at a time. As a math major, I think this has probably gotten up to 50 pounds in it at least. Now I am working on my Masters and still using the same backpack. This is great for compartmentalizing and organizing your stuff. I can hang my keys or a Nalgene water bottle off the carabiner, I put my calculator in a side pocket, pencils/pens in the front, laptop in the back and most of my books in the front main pocket. Makes it really easy to find whatever I need. I have been very happy with this, and even if it breaks tomorrow, I think Ive gotten my moneys worth and will buy another SwissGear.

> 3 dayVery nice bag. I returned it as it was a bit big and bulky for a 15 inch laptop bag. Will be good if you plan on putting a lot of stuff in it. But it was just too much bag for what I travel with as I dislike bulky things.

> 3 dayI needed to update my backpack. I can definitively say that this is hands down the best laptop backpack you can buy! Pros: 1. Tons of space and usable compartments: - 1 padded laptop compartment - 1 thin compartment that can be used for papers and folders - 1 main compartment that contains vertical dividers to keep things organized, a smaller interior mesh pocket, and an ipod/cell phone pouch that leads to a slit in the top of the backpack for a headphone cord - 1 decent sized pocket on each side (I use 1 for my laptop charger and accessories) - 2 stretchy water bottle pockets big enough for the big 1 liter bottles (good for umbrella too) - 1 small pocket on the top front - 1 pocket on the bottom front that contains a bunch of small organizer pockets found in every backpack that nobody ever uses 2. Comfort: padded, shock absorbing arm pads, padded back, and a comfortable handle on top. 3. Appearance: In my opinion, this is one of the best looking backpacks out there, but I cant argue with taste so if you have one of those ugly backpacks, thats fine with me. Cons: 1. I have concerns on how zipper will hold up 2.The opening for the laptop is on the side (not the top) which makes it a little awkward to get in and out.

> 3 dayIm writing this review from the airport now having just gone through security. First off, the bag is solid. Feels it, looks it and should hold up no problem to my travels. Lots of pockets for storage and organizing. Fit my dress shoes, three shirts and some other assorted clothing items as well as my usual travel electronics and accessories. The reason I bought it, though, was for my laptop on business trips. I asked the TSA agent monitoring our line if the bag folding flat was acceptable. He said yes so long as nothing obscures the laptop. The way this bag is constructed has the laptop in a pocket closest to your back and when opened flat, the only thing on that side of the bag. Theres even a little mesh window for security to see through. All your other stuff is separate. Got to the x ray machine and unzipped the bag, no agent gave it a second glance. Went through the scanner and grabbed the bag and my shoes then I was on my way. Its a simple thing, removing your laptop, but this actually made things faster and easier because there was no need to fight off people around me as everything I had was already contained. I could snag everything and get out of the way. Very happy.

> 3 dayThis is my partners 2nd Swiss Gear backpack. His first one lasted him over 6yrs of daily use. And honestly was only a bit frayed along the handle at top. But he wanted a new one with different pocket options, so it was a no-brainer to get him another Swiss Gear. He loves this backpack and uses it daily.
