> 3 dayI kept making half-assed arcs and circles using the ole string-nail-pencil. I finally broke down and got this one. Wow, what a difference! Sturdy, accurate, easy to use, versatile, and more. I just finished the template Id been working on for a chair back. I had put it down due to frustration. This trammel made the process actually kinda fun (isnt that what us woodworkers strive for).

> 3 dayThese are stout! Seem extremely well built. One oddity that doesnt affect usability...the knurling on the knobs dont match.

> 3 dayI have been making large shop drawings with trammel points for more than 50 years. These are the biggest, strongest, heaviest (cast iron), best designed trammel points that I have ever used. Designed for clamping on wood or metal bars of any length. They are built like a mack truck. Great for heavy hard use on large drawings, and job site layouts. Holds pencil firmly and in multiple directions. Unbelievable quality. Great price. All other trammels are toys by comparison.

> 3 dayThis is a well machined heavy-duty instrument to draw circles on big pieces of wood or on irregular surfaces. All you need to supply is a beam or piece of wood on which the 2 points are placed. It is far better than even an expensive drafting compass for that purpose. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI attached these to a 1x2 piece of wood so I can draw perfect circles in a piece of wood. Then I cut the wood using a drill and jigsaw. Worked like a charm. I hate using a rope around a nail. This is way more civilized. The quality of the product is very high. Its a sturdy metal unit, well-painted. A couple of reviewers mentioned that it doesnt look pretty, but I actually really like the retro industrial feel. The carbon tips are also really sharp, so it wont slip in the middle of a job. Worth every penny!
