Very well made, strong and sturdy construction. Looks like plastic in the photo, but they are solid metal with quality parts.

I attached these to a 1x2 piece of wood so I can draw perfect circles in a piece of wood. Then I cut the wood using a drill and jigsaw. Worked like a charm. I hate using a rope around a nail. This is way more civilized. The quality of the product is very high. Its a sturdy metal unit, well-painted. A couple of reviewers mentioned that it doesnt look pretty, but I actually really like the retro industrial feel. The carbon tips are also really sharp, so it wont slip in the middle of a job. Worth every penny!

These worked flawlessly. Endless diameter options from 3-4inches and up. the heavy metal construction made it easy to use without it coming out of place on either side. I recommend this to everyone. Go for these more expensive metal ones.
