    Not a bad little filter pad, keeps the water clean. (only usable with the tetra ex line of filters.) The carbon doesnt seem to settle in the bottom as badly as some filter pads Ive used in the past.

    The filters are good. They get the job done. I like it. i cannot complaint. Recommended it . It does the job for 10 gal tank.

    I would have given this the five starts the only reason I didnt is the item does not come with the timer strips. The little black thing you would push down and it would time release something to let you know when the change the filter. With my busy life style it was really nice to have. But the item is cheaper then at any pet store so I will stick with it. Not that much of a issue. Other then that item did as should and is just as good as the one you buy from the store only with out that timer strip.

    A pathetic, shameful mess! After a terrible experience with these Tetra filters, Amazon finally shipped a decent replacement box and that quelled my anger, until now! Time to buy some replacement and shocked to see these poorly made and packaged filters AGAIN! Whats going on Tetra QC and what the heck are you willing to carry just to make a quick buck Amazon!? These filters cant even filter light! Previous review What happened? From making solid quality filter cartridges that typically lasts more than 2 months to poorly / cheaply made cartridges that literally came out of the box leaking carbon bits! See my photos of the new unused out-of-the-box filter with fibrous layer so thin the carbon bits are pouring out. I also included a comparison photo of my old filter, huge quality difference. Also, the fibrous material on recent purchase was so thin you can see light shinning through it. The carbon bits are leaking from the cartridge, into the box, making a huge mess and rendering the filter useless. To top it off, all three boxes (thats twelve filter cartridges) are of this abominably low quality. What happened? Absolutely not recommended! Zero stars if possible.
