Texas Instruments TI- 84 Plus CE Denim Graphing Calculator

Disappointed. It was not the right model. I paid more for that color and what I received did not match the description. Denim model, which a student had, is on left. I received one on right.

I used Casio but at school everybody using Texas Instruments TI- 84 . It is OK

Product was exactly what I wanted for my College Pre-Calc class. Came with all the charging accessories. Easy to use with guide that comes with it. Amazing detailed graphs with asymptotes, zeros, min/max, etc - everything you could be looking for. You can also download apps for calculating various types of problems.

I like it but its a bit expensive

Nice blue color. Very easy to use. Very slim. Comes with a guide, USB power brick, charger cable, and a double sided cable to connect to other calculators. The screen has a nice, crisp display and its very easy to see and read. A must buy for all high school and college students.

great colors and now rechargable. Havent had it long enough to determine if the charge will get through an entire school day!

First of all, I want to say that I am upgrading from the TI-84 plus, the bottom-of-the-line version. This new CE version is lighter and thinner, and has a faster processor to handle the new color screen. The color screen is by far the best part of the calculator. Since its back lit, you can use it at night, and the color allows you to differentiate graphs. It is also a higher resolution than the old ones, so the graphs are smoother (not as jagged). The rechargeable battery lasts a long time, so I dont see battery life being an issue. Maybe in 7 years it will be bad, but there will probably be a new calculator out by then. Under the hood is the same software that the TI-84 has. There arent any new features or programs, but it remains acceptable to use on the SATs and ACTs. My only gripe is that the black version has a high gloss front, which immediately became scratched as soon as I wiped off some dust that settled on it. This is quite annoying since I have this brand new fancy calculator and it is now scratched. This is the reason for my 4-star review. I took off one for the easily scratched faceplate, which is not interchangeable like the TI-84 Silver Edition was. I recommend that you avoid the black version unless you dont mind have a new calculator that will have a ton of scratches.

I am in process of getting use to yet another school required calculator. I like the color display.

I use this calculator for my college math courses. I love that its rechargeable instead of battery operated. Its light weight too. Now if only I could get it to give me all the answers to any math question ever...
