> 3 dayIve used this calculator for a semester now (high school precalculus). This is easily the best TI calculator in the 84 family and is only outperformed by the TI-Nspire series. Great for graphing, matrices, and playing games when youre bored in math class.

> 3 dayBought it for my daughter in junior high, because thats what some of her classmates had although they had the b&w version. The area around the screen came scratched right out of its packaging - thats why giving one less star. My daughter didnt care that it was scratched, so kept it.

> 3 dayA must for any high school student taking advanced math classes. The calculator is great and works great. My only complaint is its not an HP calculator, like I used in my Engineering classes when I was in college, but unfortunately this is what most teachers use nowadays. This is the third TI-84 PLUS we have had to purchase for our three oldest children over the last several years and they have all held up great.

> 3 dayWell, this calculator is practically a mandatory standard in most upper-level high school math classes in the US. So you dont have a choice. Just buy it.

> 3 dayI bought this back in may for my Calculus exam and I’ve had it for a month now. This particular model is super easy to use and it’s perfect for math tests. The color display is amazing! The calculator is very responsive even when doing the most complicated computations. Battery life is definitely on point. I sat through an entire test and I barely used 3% of the battery. The only downside for me was the build quality. The whole thing is PURE PLASTIC which is just unacceptable at this price point. It’s super fragile and I can safely say if you drop it once it’s game over! All that being said it’s still the best option out there in my opinion. Make sure you go for the TI-84 version instead of a TI-83 if you can because the 84 is MUCH EASIER to use.
