Easy to install and help with thermals

Rather easy to install, I removed the motherboard from the case, and removed all my RAM. It might be doable without taking the motherboard out of the case but I didnt want to try it.

Once I saw a video on this item, I decided to purchase one. It is as good, if not better than the name-brand one. Dont waste your money getting a name-brand one. This one does a great job keeping the CPU flat and has proper contact wth your cooling device.

I was a little nervous about installing this at first, but it was surprisingly easy. I placed it on my 17-13700K CPU and I noticed my temps went from Mid 40s to high 30s while in windows, and when running Cinebench I went from low 90s to mid to low 80s. Overall highly recommend if youre comfortable with taking apart your computer. Takes less than 10 minutes.

This is my first build in 4.5 years, so this time around I wanted to do tons of research. Im installing a CPU water cooler for the first time ever and researching that a fair amount led me to these CPU brackets. Ive never been satisfied with the cheezy, light weight CPU brackets/fasteners which come standad on MBs. This seemed like a valuable asset for just $14. Im running a 13th Gen Intel on an MSI Z690 ACE MB. As you can see from the pic, the fit looks very clean and the aluminum bracket is well machined. I do not know if temps will be lowered vs the stock guillotine bracket but it sure holds the Intel in place far better. And that can only be good.

This thing is so simple to install . Not expensive, but works like a charm.

As per gamers nexus and jays two cents, this provided a better pressure distribution on my cpu. Low profile and more reliable than the stock bracket

Combined this plate with a very slight undervolt on my 13700k and now its maxes out around 85C as opposed to thermal throttling before. 100% these plates are essential for keeping new Intel cpu temps under control.
