Thule Subterra Backpack 34L

Loved it! feels rugged and looks great at the same time

My favorite bag for travel. Since starting a job that requires me to travel every week, I found with Thule Subterra 34L the perfect combination of a travel and day pack. I also appreciate the large packing cube that comes with the bag. Taking it out when you arrive at the hotel quickly transforms the bag into a light day pack. The quick access zips for the laptop compartment and main compartment make it a breeze when going through security checks at the airport. Most importantly, the built and quality of the bag is superb. Carrying the bag in length is also not a problem. The straps are comfortable and the way it hugs your back is just perfect.

Excellent bag, and from my experience this is above and beyond the normal quality Thule bags. I am addicted to the search for the “perfect” backpack - I’ve tried so many I’ve lost count and I currently have a selection of favorites: my Tom Bihn Synapse 25, Incase Icon Diamond Wire, Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L, and Tumi Roll Top. With that in mind I can say, this is an impressive bag, worth the money, and a new addition to my collection. When traveling with it, I loved being able to put my normal packing cubes inside the big cube that comes with the bag and then pull it all out on arrival and I was able to use the bag as a day bag anytime I needed to carry extra and it never felt super bulky. I will say though if you are looking at this bag just for everyday carry, it’s probably going to be too big — unless you carry a ton of stuff and pack modular. Also the package arrived as expected and seller checked in to make sure it arrived and and in good condition. 5 stars all the way around.

Let me start off by saying I absolutely love this backpack. I purchased it for work as I wanted something that was functional yet classy enough to bring into a corporate setting. I live in Seattle and the rain has yet to defeat it. I’ve traveled with it multiple times now and it is extremely spacious while fitting perfectly under the seat of an airplane. Additionally, it has ample space to fit my large 17” laptop in a case. It has a special padded compartment for a laptop if you want to skip the additional case - but I prefer another layer of protection. The outer pocket is extremely deep as well and has multiple zipper pockets and compartments for all of your knick-knacks. All around 5/5

This is a large bag. Perfect for the overnight trip for carrying a change of clothes along with a laptop and other travel necessities. Its a bit heaver than I would like (which is the reason for 4 stars).

Used this bag on my trip to Spain. Fit well under the plane seat, but with the roll top it was a bit annoying to get stuff out of it. The bag is well built and held a lot of stuff. Really liked the side entry. The only bad thing was comfort. Theres not too much padding on the straps so after a couple of hours of walking it can start to be a pain to wear. Theres also nothing breathable on the back, so expect to sweat from it. Overall though this was a great carry-on / day pack. If they were to add a quick pocket and some extra padding it would be perfect. Hope to use it for many more trips.

Es passt wahnsinnig viel in diesen Rucksack und er sieht wirklich gut aus. Verwende ihn unter anderem für den Transport von Musikinstrumenten. Es passen locker 2 kleine Desktop Synthesizer, ein kleines Mischpult und alle Kabel und Netzteile die man braucht hinein. Alternativ findet ein 14 Zoll Laptop samt Dockingstation, Maus und Netzteil sowie ein 21 Zoll Flachbildschirm (Ohne großem Ständer natürlich) darin Platz. Habe ihn mit bestimmt schon 25kg belastet und er hat bisher keine Schwäche gezeigt. Die härteren Polster an Schulter und Rücken sind sehr gut. Bei den meisten anderen Produkten in dieser Preisklasse sind diese ab einer mittelschweren Last nicht mehr brauchbar. Bisher habe ich absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Compact stylish. Back side is nicely match the body

I fly often for work and this bag provides great access no matter how it goes under the seat in front of me.
