> 24 hourreceived the shipment quickly, packaging was decent. The product itself has the metal material body + high grade well shield cable portion between USB-C male connector and HDMI female connector. functionality is normal, meeting technical expectation. recommended to have.

> 24 hour-Network, video, keyboard/mouse, cam, sound…instant plug and play…no (manually installed) hardware drivers, just the Windows connection “clunking”. And it seems to have an effective pass-through, as all peripherals appear to be directly connected…no noticeable capability loss. …and the PD charges my laptop just fine…quickly even. In this context, I don’t (currently) know what data throughput this takes…but the claimed 40Gbps throughput seems far more than capable. -If, like I did, you get the questionable idea to connect the USB-C port (closest to the power input jack) on the device to a USB-A port on your computer, it will only pass the sound through. It was a slight risk to the device and my laptops, but I’m a curious fella. And besides, I tested this first on an old laptop before testing this on my new one…and Amazon Vine gave me this device at income tax cost, so…cheers! -This thing runs persistently hot…most noticeably on the top to the left of the TB logo. Heat=bad for longevity, so time will tell on that concern. I’ll let you know! -The backlit TB logo on the top is unnecessary, but pretty! I didn’t expect it when I first powered it on…so I had a nice little “whoa…cool!” moment. …and though I leave it on…I like that it has a power button. -For general compatibility, I think that a USB-C power input connector would be better than the barrel connector/power-supply. And since the power adapter is square and bulky, I had to use an extension cable to connect it to the power strip. -I like that it has many capabilities…multiple monitors (with the respective cables/adapters beyond the single HDMI port, and with acknowledgement that everything is connecting over USB-C lately)…5 USB 3.0 ports (though for the price the latest 3.2 would be better), GB Lan (standard of course…but like USB3.2, I suppose I don’t really expect or need a 2.5GB port (or 10 or 40)…but such things would be impressive, perhaps expected for the price). …and the 8k-single/6k-dual monitor capability is worth acknowledgment. …which gets me to my current unknown. I’m certainly happy to have this (and hope it lasts given the heat concern)…because I can connect everything (power, monitor(s), KB/mouse, speakers/mic, cam, net, and anything else) to my “modern” TB4 capable laptop with one cable…whereas it normally takes 5+ cables. So does it work as I hoped? It certainly does. Would I drop two and a half bills for it? …initially no, but now that I have it…maybe...considering the capabilities and performance. It is much more convenient. And, since I routinely connect/disconnect my laptop from the peripherals, it contains the wear to one jack.

> 24 hourThe seller has updated this product, so I am updating my review. This USB-C dock is not what I reviewed. I reviewed a small dongle that was under $20, not a dock that is north of $200. This adapter does its job. I bought a desktop that only had USB-C without realizing it, and this gave me the connection I needed to get to my HDMI monitor. Picture quality is great and it sends through the signal at full resolution.

> 24 hourIt works. What do you want to know? Its yet another useful dongle that makes your input shy setup work with more monitors.

> 24 hourI have gone through several USB to HDMI connectors. This one seems solid and of good quality. The extended screen on my Mac book shows up on the external screen very smoothly. I highly recommend this one.

> 24 hourPretty solid docking station, plug and play and supports various displays. The cables it came with are shorter and cheaper which is odd for a docking station in this price range. With that said, its super solidly built. It feels very sturdy and like if it were dropped it would survive just fine, but I dont plan on testing that out on purpose.
